I'm wondering when his legal team is going to dump him. He's dictating their moves and making them look bad.

OTOH, I'm wondering when Trump is going to dump his legal team for not following his extrajudicial insane suggestions. Lately, Trump is enraged because his legal team isn't beating up on the judge ~ like he would do.

@#3 ... I'm wondering when his legal team is going to dump him. ...

Or... vice versa.

I figure something has to give and Trump is the time-bomb. He can see the writing on the wall even with his eyes closed.

Personally, I think it would be great if Judge Merchan allowed Trump to represent himself.

Can you just picture it?

@#5 ... I figure something has to give ...

imo, the problem with being a lawyer for fmr Pres Trump is that he has never been accountable to anyone.

Keep in mind, lawyers are Officers of the Court.

officer of the court
www.law.cornell.edu

... An officer of the court is any person who has an obligation to promote justice and uphold the law.

Officers of the court are meant to promote the proper administration of justice. The term most frequently refers to judges, clerks, court personnel, and police officers.

Attorneys are also officers of the court and owe the court a duty of candor and obedience to court rules.

Thus, an attorney owes duties to a court separate from the duties owed to the attorney's client and the attorney may be disciplined by a court in its judicial operations. ...

imo, that seems to run counter to what fmr Pres Trump expects his lawyers to do for him.

I'm sure they've explained all that to him but as far as Trump is concerned, he's "special" and rules shouldn't apply to him.

Nonetheless, I'd like to see him try to pull his bully routine in a courtroom.

I'm amazed that the orange diaper dumper, deluded "genius," isn't defending himself. I'm sad that he doesn't believe in himself enough to do it because every time I've seen that happen the "smartest guy in the room" ends up spending far more time in prison than if he had accepted the offered plea deal.

I do not disagree.

I doubt if Judge Merchan would even consider allowing Trump to run amok in his courtroom.

I was just thinking that the time spent on cooling off periods, recesses and hold overs to the next day might keep Trump off the campaign trail for an additional couple months or maybe three.
