A convicted felon somehow continues to defy the odds that Democrats had hoped would destroy him by leading +1.5 in aggregate polling. This should worry Democrats on the eve of the first of two debates coming tomorrow. While Democrats had hoped the label of "convicted felon" would subdue the lead Trump has maintained for months, it continues to appear that no one cares.

... Convicted Felon continues to lead Sitting President +1.5 ...

... and in a Country over party sense, is that not a sad thing?

What would your current alias propose to change that?

And, fwiw, those polls are still wallowing in the margin of error.

But, that aside, my question asked in #1 still stands.

Dems fail so often to see why that would never hurt Trump - easy to gloss it over as they're in a cult, just the uneducated and ignorant, racists, etc.

There's just too many people utterly failed by the current system. The middle class being squeezed out, economic mobility stratifying, the regressive tax effects of inflation that simultaneously make the economy look good on paper, while hurting those who can least afford it the most.

Dems are too afraid to be called "socialists" or already too in the pockets of corporations to induce the real change the system requires to correct that. And when they do manage something vaguely effective, they can't message to save their lives. And so are losing all those for whom "it's the economy stupid."

So for all those people the system has failed, voting for a convicted felon is just one more way of giving the finger to the system that failed them.

Understand your enemy. It's not the opposing voter or candidate. It's the systemic failures enabling them.
