Wednesday, April 30, 2025

Former vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) seemed to bring something special to the table when then-Vice President Kamala Harris chose him to be her running mate in 2024. Code talk. "I could code talk to White guys watching football, fixing their truck" and "put them at ease," Walz explained during his "listening tour" at a Harvard Kennedy School forum on Monday, Fox News reported. Walz said he was valuable to Harris' candidacy because he enticed White rural American men to vote for Democrats. "I think I'll give you pretty good stuff, but I'll also give you 10% problematic," Walz said, adding why that message did not reach to reach a larger audience. Walz also addressed inconsistencies in his background on the 2024 campaign trail, calling himself a "knucklehead."
