President Donald Trump's attendance at the FIFA Club World Cup soccer match in New Jersey on Sunday reportedly caused Newark Airport to be shut down for hours. As Trump arrived at the major international hub, transportation reporter Sam Deutsch noted that all flights had been halted except for the president's Air Force One. "Very interesting thing just happened: EWR had a complete ground stop due to 'thunderstorms' despite no storms in a 200 mile radius," he wrote on BlueSky. "The only flight to leave from EWR in that window? Air Force One." |
