Nota Bene: The UK Treachery Act (1940) was passed by the British Parliament to deal with subjects whose sinister pro-German activities fell outside their narrow legal definition of treason. Between 1940 and 1946, 15 people, of whom five were British, were hanged for treachery, and another was court-martialed and shot. The first British subject to be executed under the law was George Johnson Armstrong, who was hanged at HMP Wandsworth on 10 July 1941. In the US, someone can only be charged with treason during a congressionally-declared act of war. Had the US a similar law to the British, Dummkopf Trumpf and Michael Flynn might have been investigated and indicted for treachery, aiding and abetting a hostile foreign power, namely Russia. At minimum after his conviction for lying to the FBI, Michael Flynn should have been recalled to active-duty for court-martial and reduced in rank to Private (E-1). Today, this Judas Iscariot is enjoying a generous US Army General retirement check every month.
