"One tragedy of Mr. Trump's shoot-America-in-the-foot-first approach is that he's hurt his chances of rallying a united front of countries against Beijing's mercantilism," it wrote. "By targeting allies with tariffs, Mr. Trump has eroded trust in America's economic and political reliability."

There was no other end to this than capitulation. This dumb sack of ---- surrendered last time as well.

The entire world is aligning up against Donny Doll Hands. Thanks to decades of the GCCCP giving tax breaks to companies moving their businesses out of the US we are dependent on importing almost all of consumer goods. He severely overplayed his hand and was counting on a quick surrender by the rest of the world to his bullying. Now he got punched in the nose.

In 90 days he will "announce" a big beautiful deal with China, do a victory lap and when the details are released and analyzed he will have made a worse deal than he did last time.

I've been quite surprised at the depth of the, ummm, disagreement the Wall Street Journal's Editoorial Board has express regarding the Trump tariff fiasco.
