Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

  • Newsmax TV tumor Rob Finnerty: "And after eight years of Bill de Blasio and four of Eric Adams, the people of NYC just elected the most radical politician in American history, right up there with Jefferson Davis. He was the president of the Confederacy during the Civil War. And if you've ever been to NYC " maybe you haven't, but if you have been to NYC, hold on to those memories, because the city will never be the same again. Which is exactly what Zohran Mamdani wants to happen."
  • House Republican Buddy Carter (R-GA) is proposing to block federal funds from NYC for as long as Zohran Mamdani is mayor. The bill is called the Moving American Money Distant from Anti-National Interests Act, or the "MAMDANI Act". "Notwithstanding any other provision of law, during any period in which Zohran Mamdani is mayor of NYC," that "any unobligated Federal funds available" for the city "are hereby rescinded" and that "no Federal funds may be obligated or expended for any purpose to NYC."

Republicans aren't funding the federal government so one of them idiotically suggesting to de-fund NYC because they elected a Muslim to be mayor should come as no surprise. Americans should expect to see a barrage of attacks from Islamophobes, Republicans, CBS News, Newsmax, and Faux News against Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani because he gives voice to Palestinians being ethnically cleansed in Gaza and other vulnerable people. Muslims make up a scant 1.34% of the US population, but AIPAC proxies relentlessly demonize and smear them in the media, movies, and news to ensure US financial, military, and political support remains firm for Israel and that no American should ever empathize with Muslims, Arabs, and specifically Palestinians. Inexplicably, AIPAC recipient Buddy Carter (R-GA) refuses to sign a pledge to release the lurid Jeffrey Epstein files. Links: Newsmax TV Tumor; Islamophobic Republican.

Note that US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did not campaign for nor did he endorse fellow Democrat Zohran Mamdani. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) accused AIPAC of illegal election interference in the US (The Hill, 8/8/2025).

Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre accurately calls out Democrats who did not support fellow Zohran Mamdani.

Source: Ex-WH Press Secy calls it perfectly.

Last week white bread over-the-hill dinosaur James Carville told Karine to finish her book tour and then "STFU."

    Uh-huh.

If Democrats want to win in national elections, they had better listen to the Karine Jean-Pierres of the world and not follow in Hubert Humphrey's 1968 or Kamala Harris' 2024 footsteps by supporting warmongers like Nguyen Van Thieu or Benjamin Netanyahu.

FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker resigns one day after Zohran Mamdani won the election. Tucker felt that as a Zionist, he would be unable to serve under Mamdani. Another American's loyalty is to Israel, not his country or his city. Hmph.

FDNY was long a bastion of white privilege in NYC civil service, as well as a significant source of false disability compensation claims. This palooka had ZERO experience in emergency response or firefighting. Tucker was an ADA who then owned a PI firm. Eric Adams appointed this good-for-nothing to his well-paying sinecure.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The same, racist, bigoted, supremacist shtick in NYC.

Today it is Rob Finnerty, 175 years ago it was the Know Nothings and black hat gangs featuring such xenophobic luminaries as Bill "The Butcher" Poole (devastating "America-first" monologue courtesy of Daniel Day-Lewis).
