"Menendez's ruling comes as the Department of Justice (DOJ) issued subpoenas to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) as part of a criminal investigation.

Walz called the move "an authoritarian tactic," while Frey said it was "obvious attempt to intimidate me for standing up for Minneapolis, our local law enforcement, and our residents against the chaos and danger this Administration has brought to our streets."

... U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez wrote in her order that ICE cannot retaliate against, arrest or detain "persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity." ...

Good.

@#3

Next step ...

ICE is prohibited from intentionally provoking behavior by citizens that runs against the Judge's order.

@#5 ... Just reinforced the Bill of Rights. ...

The implication of that comment is that ICE may have been [intentionally] violating the Bill of Rights?

"At one point, he compared the Trump administration's immigration enforcement with the Fugitive Slave Act, an 1850 law that compelled law enforcement to return fugitive slaves to their "owners", even when they were captured in free states."

Just reinforced the Bill of Rights.

Yeah but the problem is the need. Why? It's too fundamental.

The other stupid is the Third Amendment. An issue not raised in a very long time. www.courthousenews.com

@#7 GOP Judge COMPARES Trump to SLAVE-CATCHER in RULING!! ...

In that video's summary I see ...

... Senior Judge William Young (appointed by Ronald Reagan) delivering a blistering rebuke of the Trump Administration -- calling actions by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Secretary of State Marco Rubio an "unconstitutional conspiracy" to violate the First Amendment rights of student and faculty protesters. In a stunning moment heading into MLK Jr. weekend, Judge Young compares the administration's conduct to the recapture and re-enslavement of newly freed slaves. ...

But I do not see how that is relevant to the thread topic, i.e., Minnesota. ...

Can you elaborate?

thx.

When exactly are most people going to realize that this regime doesn't care what judges think?

As I said on another thread... At this point, he's not going to change anything based on a judges ruling. This regime feels no need to follow the law.

DJT was quite young when Roy Cohen taught him the Mob Rules... "Attack, Attack, Attack, then Deny and Appeal".

Which is what he does no matter what issue he's dealing with.

Women (girls) Policy Issues, his Political Enemies, other nations now.

Courts are for losers.
