Senate passes massive government funding package

The Senate voted overwhelmingly Friday to pass a major funding package consisting of five regular appropriations bills and a two-week stopgap measure for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) but the legislation won't become law before parts of the government shut down at midnight. The 71-29 vote caps a week of Senate drama after a Border Patrol agent shot and killed 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis on Saturday, sparking a public backlash against the tactics of federal immigration enforcement officers and pushing Democrats to oppose the DHS funding bill that was part of a six-bill funding package.

$190 million dollars is a "big win" for the American people.

The Trumpf junta wasted $344 million buying warehouses for ICE detention facilities and $496 million deploying the US Army National Guard against us.

US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) gave the Republican Party another win by caving in to them.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ( D-NY) condemned Schumer's capitulation, saying it was "unthinkable" he would surrender leverage to the GOP over DHS and ICE. Rep. Norma Torres (D-CA) said Schumer "betrayed" Americans.

US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is "Republican lite," surrendering to Dummkopf Trumpf and the GOP at each funding fight in Congress.

Schumer must go! This status quo dinosaur should finally retire with his super-generous senatorial pension and move to Jerusalem. Chuck will sell lots of copies of his book on the global increase in antisemitism that Bibi helped to cause with his pogrom against the Palestinians in Gaza.
