Iran has demanded that this week's talks with the US be held in Oman rather than Turkey, with the agenda narrowed to nuclear issues only, a regional source said on Tuesday. The move adds new complications to an already delicate diplomatic effort amid heightened military tensions in the region.

... Iran's move to change the venue and agenda for the talks, scheduled for Friday in Istanbul, comes amid heightened tensions as the US builds up forces in the Middle East.

Regional players have pushed for a resolution of a standoff that has led to mutual threats of air strikes and stirred fears of escalation into a wider war.

The US military on Tuesday shot down an Iranian drone that "aggressively" approached the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, the US military said, in an incident first reported by Reuters.

US President Donald Trump, who warned on Monday that "bad things" would probably happen if a deal could not be reached with Iran, told reporters at the White House on Tuesday: "We are negotiating with them right now." He did not elaborate and declined to say where he expected the talks to take place.

@#2 ... PEDO DONNIE will start WWIII to avoid releasing the rest of the Epstein files. ...

Iran has always sent their delegates not to solve things but to stretch them out, demand stuff that will never pass, and generally gum up the works. Normally they are not serious about negotiation.

Iran has funded terrorism around the world. It's part of the reason why it's citizens are in such dire straights. It's time to cut the purse strings to all these terrorism groups.

And people must ask why countries like Iran or Afghanistan fund resistance movements or terrorist groups to conduct asymmetric warfare attacks against militarily superior Western countries like Israel or the US.

Iran hasn't invaded a country in thousands of years.

Afghanistan has never invaded another foreign country. Ever.

The same cannot be said of the US, Russia, Saudi Arabia, or Israel.

The Sunni Saudis have been fighting against the Shia Yemeni Houthis for years.

Israel invaded Lebanon several times and the US pushed Iraq to invade Iran in the 1980s to overturn the new regime which was no longer friendly to apartheid Israel like in the days of the Shah and his nasty SAVAK.

The Persians invented chess and the term "zig-zag," as well as providing unique musical syncopations which has been incorporated all over the Middle East through the centuries. Iranian wrestlers and power-lifers are world class and Western teams can't wait to compete these athletes. Tennis champion Andre Agassi's father went to the Olympics twice for Iran.
