"The idea behind the tariffs originally was pro-business, and it feels like somehow the pro-business part of this has gotten lost," Weyco Group CEO Tom Florsheim told Spectrum News. "You're paying more for the tariff than you were for the shoes."

Florsheim told the outlet that his company was originally manufacturing its shoes in China, having to spend millions on tariffs alone. After moving their business to India, Trump's tariffs followed them.

"From a business planning standpoint, it's been almost impossible," Florsheim said.

Did Pres Trump have advanced notice of this lawsuit when he all but made his staff wear Florsheims?

@#1 ... originally manufacturing its shoes in China, having to spend millions on tariffs alone. After moving their business to India, Trump's tariffs followed them. ...

Apple seems to be having a similar issue.

Will the tariffs follow Apple as well?

Or, maybe, the CEO of Weyco Group needs to gift Pres Trump with a solid gold shoe?

These companies should be forced to extensively reveal internal communications and accounting showing how much costs they passed on to consumers before getting a cent in refunds from the government and the refunds, if granted, should match any provable losses.

I'll be f*&^ed if these companies get to profit from increased prices only to then unscrupulously double dip and demand a "refund" from the government.

At the very least every one of the companies receiving a refund should be data based along with the amount asked for, the amount received and any financials related to revenue and profits over the last year or so. If we can't prevent our cuck government grifters from allowing this one two punch of wealth extraction from the populace we should at least be able to set ourselves up to ruin these a**holes with boycotts and lawsuits.
