On March 4 the Bankrate average 30-year home mortgage was 6.10%, and today (4/7) it is at 6.52%. Assuming a median-priced home of $425k, and a loan of $300k, that difference is $79/month, or $950 annually. This is, in effect, an additional tax on homeowners, imposed by the current administration because of their headless, headlong rush into a war of their choosing. Many in the Red Hat Horde don't see the connection between the actions of their orange god and the day to day life lived, but it's there, and home mortgage interest rates are one more indicator...
