Canada PM Mark Carney Meets with Murderer in Saudi Arabia

This was the first time in 25 years that a Canadian PM has visited Saudi Arabia and Mark Carney walked away with 13 new commercial agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth $700m, spanning health technology, mining, infrastructure, and defense.

He called the two countries "complementary economies with shared ambitions."

Amnesty International reports that Saudi Arabia has a horrendous record on human rights and has caused the man-made famine in Yemen targeting the Houthis. Moreover, while Canada finally recognized the State of Palestine, Ottawa has taken no concrete steps to curb Israel's brutal ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. These are not the values of the Canadian people. But as part of his campaign to "Trumpf-proof" the Canadian economy, PM Mark Carney made this "deal with the Devil."

Somehow, I don't think PM Mark Carney discussed this appalling situation with Crown Prince "Muhammad Bone Saws." The Canada PM office press releases do not mention human rights.
