1) Immediately abolish ICE and DHS. First by Executive Order, and then through Congress. On 20 Jan 2029, immediately after the WH luncheon, this E.O. can be in the Federal Register by 1600 hours: "All ICE and DHS personnel will operate unarmed and unmasked at all times and will bring aliens before Immigration Judges (IJ) for due process. Should DHS or ICE personnel feel insecure about conducting their mission, the USAG will deploy one pair of armed DUSMs to accompany them. A Presidential Task Force will then purge the DHS and ICE records of Americans and Permanent Residents obtained without warrant."

2) Immediately stop funding Israel. First by Executive Order, and then through Congress. This E.O. can be published in the Federal Register by 1605 Hours, 20 Jan 2029: "The US government immediately stops sending hardworking American taxpayer dollars to the State of Israel."

3) Expand Medicare for all to provide Americans with universal healthcare, as enjoyed by the residents of Germany, Israel, Canada, Iran, Cuba, Greenland, tiny Albania, and in 2027, Mexico.

4) Investigate all oligarchs who made billions under the nefandous Trumpf junta and use the federal courts to claw back their ill-gotten pelf with lawsuits.

5) Enlarge the size of the Supreme Court by adding enough Justices to outnumber the reactionary Republicans who have constipated the execution of justice for years. There is no Constitutional limit on the number of SCOTUS Justices nor is there a legal requirement that a justice must be an attorney.

And the Number One replacement on the Tonight Show in case Johnny Carson couldn't make it because of illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Tony Randall honored last second requests because he lived nearby and was a real mensch.

I read Essence of Decision years ago about the Cuban Missile Crisis, which I'm sure you read or heard of.

After JFK made a televised speech about the potential of an "atomic war" with the USSR, people began buying nuclear fallout shelters and some built their own.

Ted Sorensen, the wordsmith behind JFK, made it all sound so patriotic, that JFK's approval rating increased after this speech about a potential apocalypse.

Time permitting later tonight, I'll post an OP with some factoids from "A Question of Character: A Life of JFK" by Thomas C. Reeves, as I did with Sinclair Lewis' 1927 tome Elmer Gantry.

1955 and 1956 were seminal years to learn about the inner workings of the Third Reich.

The Nazi underlings like you mentioned were finally released from Soviet gulags after serving their ten year sentences.
