I have a hard time believing there isn't some way of commemorating what goes on within the Situation Room beyond inked notes on legal pads. What that might be, I've not a clue. I do recall that back in late 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis, JFK secretly recorded over 40-hours of discussions related to the "Well, Whatta We Gonna Do Now, Huh?" question. Those tapes are incredibly interesting, and likely reflect his unwillingness to take the fall for any horrors that might emerge from the discussions - the Bay of Pigs disaster would not have been far from his thoughts. (I wouldn't want to ruin the suspense, but Curtis LeMay does not come across well.)
