SCOTUS will get this case again because the judge seems adamant to have her rulings followed and DOJ will certainly appeal. SCOTUS doesn't want to set up the scenario where Trump is in open defiance of their rulings so they will try to be as vague as possible and they will keep getting these cases over and over again because lower court judges just don't see things the way they do.

It is important to not let Trump and republicans in the HOR and Senate off the hook for the mess that DOGE has caused. Now that the turmoil is finally beginning to be revealed, I suspect that some of those weasels will try to claim ignorance of what was really going on.

Roberts is doing all he can to prevent the inevitable: Trump defying a court order. All he is doing is delaying it because the only way that Trump can achieve his objective (i.e. dictator status) is to create a constitutional crisis and to declare martial law to deal with the public's outrage.

What's with all of these negotiations? I thought the goal of Tariffs was to incentivize companies to make their products here; in the USA. How is re-negotiating trade deals going to achieve that goal? Have we been lied to? Again?

This ruling plus others will demonstrate the Trump administrations refusal to honor court rulings. Since the court has no enforcement power, we have our constitutional crisis. The only way it can be resolved is if congress changes hands next year and dems will surely cite these refusals as evidence of abuse of power. Maybe by then, there will be enough republicans in the senate to go along with dems to convict him and kick him out of office. I suspect that the country, especially red states, will be in such turmoil by then that hopefully there will be very little political support to keep him in office.

Not a big fan of subsidizing bad behavior; who is. However, people building/rebuilding in disaster prone areas or building in remote areas carries a lot of risks; risks that shouldn't be borne by the tax payer. Government, at all levels, need to make sure that hazardous areas are clearly marked and publicized so that developers can make good decisions to build/not build and purchasers can make good decisions to buy/not buy. Laws need to force developers to reveal in their marketing and sales materials, the risks the buyer takes if they decide to purchase the property. "Buyer Beware" should not be SOP for large, consequential purchases like a home.
