I'm not going to pile on the fellow, nor kick him when he's obviously down, and would remind all real progressives that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Offer them a hand up, not one across their face.

Cindy Sheehan is nothing more than an attention whore who used her son's death to gain notoriety on cable news.

Anyone who voted for Trump did so with the understanding that they Federal budget would have to be reduced at any cost/measure. Anyone listening were told things would get worse before they get better. The neutered Left can scream all they want, but it is what it is. Do I agree with everything Trump says or does? No. Do I regret my vote? No. But the people pretending like this is all some kind of rug pull are stupid.

No more a rug-pull than Trump's crypto scams.

Donald is failing. At a certain point, he will have failed. He's actually set a personal deadline for September to turn things around.

Of course, he's lying about that.

It's about time someone called to order this meeting of the Face-Eating Leopard Party Support Group.

#9 | Posted by lfthndthrds

Absolutely! Those tax cuts for billionaires had to come from somewhere. The loss of a few hundred thousand VA jobs and the suffering it causes a few tens of millions suckers and losers noble veterans is but a small price to pay.

The only reason Musk is cutting spending by the federal government is to pass a tax cut for billionaires.

That's it. Period. If you think crippling the federal government is something to boast about, then you're dumber than I previously thought.

The only thing that will fix this country is increasing taxes on billionaires.

Unfortunately too many republicans living paycheck to paycheck are fighting tooth and nail to prevent that from happening.

Anyone listening were told things would get worse before they get better.

Better?

Tell us, what's this "better" you're imagining?

Most Trump voters assumed they wouldn't be the target of life getting worse. That it would be someone else whose life would be hurt by Trump and Musk's actions.

You can't seriously believe Trump was a good choice and expect anyone to consider you a rational person.

If we hadn't been distributing practicaly all the gains in household income to the top 20% of households for the past fifty years, these problems wouldn't even exist.

But Republicans won't ever agree to policies that bring broad economic prosperity.

Republicans think the economy functions best when it punishes the poor and rewards the rich.

Anyone listening was not told approximately when things were going to get better.

What's your guess. Thirty years?

What Trump actually said----No joke----Is that he would make the US economy glow by September of this year.

If we have a recession instead, that's Biden's fault.

#20 | Posted by Zed at 2025-03-25 07:36 PM | Reply

He is going to make the economy glow, by setting it on fire and leaving nothing but ashes.

Merry Christmas!

Then the magat scum should have voted for a dem, who everytime one is president they lower the deficit.

If he got fired his job must have been waste or fraud.
That means he should go to jail, I guess.

Hmm...I see someone found my earnest admonition somewhat humorous. What I saw in the man's plight was a opportunity to offer him hope, not condemnation. I saw a crack in the MAGA facade that just might allow him to see through TrumpCo's smoke & mirrors, providing him a sincerely offered path away from MAGA's unacceptable worldview. Nyuk nyuk..silly me.

Meanwhile, sitting 5' behind my chair, is a Monster in a Box that has been pleading for a rewrite for a long, long time. I've been avoiding it mostly--like the political situation we all find ourselves in currently--I simply don't know how the story ends. Perhaps it will come to me this pass through. What's your story, and how does it end?

"Anyone who voted for Trump did so with the understanding that they Federal budget would have to be reduced at any cost/measure"

Well, since Trump is going to spend trillions more in tax giveaways, they're all math morons, aren't they?

Here's a hint for all the dumfuqs: the deficit isn't going to be reduced. A trillion in spending on everyday workers will be slashed, while FOUR TIMES that amount will be newly borrowed, mostly to give away in tax cuts to the world's wealthiest 1%.

Did you vote for that?

#27 | Posted by Danforth at 2025-03-26 03:37 AM | Reply

#26 Hi Dutch46: I understood where you came from in your post. Do the people that voted for Trumpf, like this veteran, regret their support for him or do they regret their racism? The veteran will be redeemable when he gives up on racism, which may lead him out of the Trumpf cult.

BTW: The deluge from Trumpf is keeping me from fiction writing too. I write mysteries and suspense stories (under a different nom de plume) and I pen the ending the first. I too have a rewrite that has been sitting for some time now (a Professor Moriarty mystery). Good luck with your Monster in the Box rewrite. Some musicians revisit pieces years later to improve them.

Hey Dutch, magat scum who voted for the most corrupt president in our history who is currently dismantling the government of the country I love are a direct threat to me and my loved ones. I will treat them with respect when the crawl across the floor and kiss my ass.

Offer them a hand up, not one across their face.

Only after an admission that they fked up and vow never to do it again. As with any addict, they must WANT to overcome their Trump addiction before receiving any help. They also need to accept the fact that the republican party is the real source of the problem because they REFUSE to put Trump in check.
