Here's the website for the group running a tribute to the 20 Jan6ers (most convicted of assault) who created a music video with Trump.

Desantis is actively seeking to stack to the deck in every way against this Amendment. When he runs for president in 2028, he wants to be able to brag to Republican primary voters that he was the only governor able to successfully block a ballot initiative to enshrine abortion rights.

Hopefully, voters of Florida will see right through this. But Desantis sure is making it hard to do that with his lies and deception.

If I knew, my running for the presidency would be a guaranteed win and prevent this nation from falling into fascism, I'd have to decide whether my personal interests matter more than the future of the nation.

No, it's not fear. It's because her heart isn't in it. Once she won the election, she'd actually have to govern, which she is not interested in doing. Why isn't she interested in doing that? I don't know, but it's clear from things she's said that's not something she feels called to do.

Rick Wilson and others in the Lincoln Project don't support Biden and Harris on policy. None of the Republicans for Harris do. Judge Luttig said it best:

"In voting for Vice President Harris, I assume that her public policy views are vastly different from my own," Luttig writes, "but I am indifferent in this election as to her policy views on any issues other than America's Democracy, the Constitution, and the Rule of Law, as I believe all Americans should be."

Donald Trump who loves attention wouldn't participate in the GOP debates. Why? I can only conclude Trump was afraid to debate DeSantis, Haley, Christie et al.

I've read some things, yes, but it occurred to me a week or so ago that Biden's timing for dropping out was perfect as I outlined above. Which in turn made me wonder if at some point Biden and Pelosi didn't actually start working together on that timing. That would also explain why Joe isn't angry and bitter but is sincerely and enthusiastically supporting the Harris/Wals ticket now.

Was it really a real primary when Trump refused to participate in any of the debates?

Like I said, if Joe didn't want to go, he wouldn't have gone. If you don't think so, imagine if Republicans had tried to force Trump out. He woulnd't have gone, not even kicking and screaming.

Too bad Republicans didn't ruthlessly kick Trump to the curb when they had multiple opportunities to do so. . . .

I think it was his decsion ultimately because he realized that his being the head of the ticket was going to drag down the Democratic ticket across the country from the top down. I think he saw the internal polls everyone was showing him behind the scenes and because he knows what a real threat Trump is to this country, which he does love more than his own political ambitions, he came to the conclusion that he needed to do the right thing. And as it also turned out his timing couldn't have been better. He waited until after Trump had picked Vance and the RNC had spent 4 days attacking him. Then he immediately endorsed Harris and because they also realized what a threat Trump is to this country and time was of the essence, Democrats fell in line behind that endorsement. Will Harris/Wals defeat Trump/Vance in November? I don't know. Time will tell, but I think they have a shot.

He didn't step down. He was forced out, against his will, by his own party.
