After decades of staying out of politics, billionaire Microsoft co-founder and global philanthropist Bill Gates is reportedly getting involved in the 2024 election -- with a $50 million contribution to the effort to elect Vice President Kamala Harris. read more

As the Trump campaign is slamming Vice President Harris in new ads for supporting taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries for prisoners and migrants, a NYT report shows Trump appointees at the Bureau of Prisons, a division of the Justice Department, provided gender-affirming treatments, including hormone therapy, for inmates who requested it during Mr. Trump's four years in office. The Lincoln Project is out with a new ad, and Rick Wilson joins Morning Joe to discuss. read more

As we have noted several times, the Trump campaign has outsourced its get-out-the-vote (GOTV) operation to third parties. This is unheard of in modern politics, but probably not illegal. If some billionaire wants to spend his own money hiring people to knock on doors and encourage them to vote, it's probably legal as long as the campaign and billionaire don't coordinate. read more

Just ignore this thread if you are a full-fledged MAGAt, a sock-puppet (who crawled back here under a new moniker after being thrown off the Drudge before, a-la niceville), a so-called "middle of the road" Quisling, or similar, intellectually-challenged individual. There are polysyllabic words you won't understand, and no pictures to help you, either. So just pirouette yourself over to the Nooner and set-up a playdate with one of your fellow travelers.

In September, Donald Trump told women: "I will be you protector." This didn't go over so well with the ladies. Quite a few feel they do not need to be protected by a man, especially not this man. Younger women, college-educated women and single women, in particular, tend to chafe at the idea of their requiring a man to protect them, especially a man who has been found liable in court for committing sexual assault and has been accused of it by many other women.

They're so skin-thinned that they plonk and run away.

Thinking they're clever.

"However, today at this point in time, Harris is not what I want in office." -

That's because you hate women, BILLJOHNSON.

What's fun about plonking here on the Retort:

Yeah, you can no longer see the plonked person's posts.

But they can still see yours...

Which means that you can't see the plonked person's reply.

Fun, indeed.

"Bottomline expanding the government's control in our lives." -

Gosh, you mean government's control in our lives like this:

So, since BILLJOHNSON and his ilk believe that they know what's best for women - women they will never meet and never know - they want the government in the same room as the woman and her health care provider. And why is that? It is because they can't be there themselves.
The government's control in our lives like that, BILLJOHNSON ? ? ?

BILLJOHNSON wants desperate women to have their bodies butchered in a back alley (this is his idea of the "sanctity of life")

BILLJOHNSON wants women to bleed to death in hospital parking lots because his "life of the mother" BS makes licensed physicians afraid of losing their license (or go to prison) rather than administer life saving care.

BILLJOHNSON is too much of a coward to do anything about it, so he wants the government to force women to be butchered and die.

Yep, BILLJOHNSON hates women - women he will never meet, and women he will never know

BILLJOHNSON thinks women are stupid.

BILLJOHNSON thinks that he knows better than any woman.

BILLJOHNSON is too much of a coward to do anything about it, so he wants the government to force women to carry a child.

Yep, BILLJOHNSON hates women - women he will never meet, and women he will never know.

What kind of **cked-up world does BILLJOHNSON live in?

He actually believes that a woman would carry a wanted child for 6, 7, 8, even 9 months, and then callously decides to abort said wanted child, because just exactly why?

The reason why is that BILLJOHNSON and his ilk believe that women are just too stupid to leave their health care in the hands of the people who actually know what's going on: the woman and her health care provider This includes the decision to abort a child.

So, since BILLJOHNSON and his ilk believe that they know what's best for women - women they will never meet and never know - they want the government in the same room as the woman and her health care provider. And why is that? It is because they can't be there themselves.

That's the kind of **cked-up world BILLJOHNSON and his ilk long to live in.

And excellent post, Gal_Tuesday!

And your comment ("Don't get discouraged, don't give up already, don't hyperventilate, vote.") dovetails nicely with the first 9 posts in this thread.

There's a simple solution to this.
