Not a good thing, all in all. Global warming is about to kill a lot of people and its acceleration is because of greed and the growth of populations and the markets. Such is life, we who are alive today are watching a stupid culture do astoundingly stupid things, and that is that.

If I were boss, we would return to having a draft, where all people, male and female would serve either two years in private public service, or one and a half years in the military. As it is we are rapidly becoming the land of the billionaire oligarchs, and the rest of us.

I agree with the chair, you want to primary an incumbent, you cannot be vice chair. It wastes money and in the end, may keep the House from being taken back.
And yes, Hogg has a right to demand that his party listen to the young and powerless.

You cannot support a known fascist and his gang to return to the White House and then pretend surprise when they do what they can to ruin our democracy, and along the way terrify people with threats of taking away social security and medicare and much of the safety net.

Well, Chamberlain was a right, and we all know it. If you appease a dictator, then that dictator becomes your friend and never attacks you or yours.
That seems to be the logic that Trump is using in the world.

War is the enemy, not each other.
Russia is pursuing a war of aggression against a once very friendly neighbor, so of course, in that regard, Russia is a great enemy to peace and the world.

Clearly Trump is planning on getting through the midterms by bribing the American electorate with, maybe, $5000 in checks thanks to the "savings" that DOGE has pretended to work out. As it is, what they are calling savings are ofter life preserving benefits from the VA, Social Security, and the rest.

Take from the poor to give to the rich...what it all about.
And along the way, intimidate each and every person who has the courage to speak out against the Trump insanity.
Medicaid is about the poorest of the poor, and here in Oregon to be eligible I believe one needs to have less than $2000 in assets, so to take away life preserving services is evil.

And still they haven't, as far as I know, produced even one million dollars in fraud that they have stopped. What they have done is screw up each and every major public service we have, from social security to education to medicine.
Musk is a real and present danger to our republic, both economically and because of his determination to divide us one from another.

The most "for sale" administration in history...
It has in reality become a time where one person, one vote has been replaced with one dollar, one vote....

Life saving drugs at risk, and that means lives may be lost...
Trade war be damned, those drugs are of great importance so another way has to be found rather than shutting down the pipelines.

The cruelty is not a bug, it is a feature...Trump ran on a platform of hate and misogyny and white nationalism, white christian nationalism, so on and on it will go.
And yes, the Democratic Party was woefully tuned out when it came to what the American people wanted in regards to strong borders.

Let's just admit it, we are being led by greedy, con men who will keep on with the pump and dump stock market manipulations until they are driven from office.
And let's admit it, global warming is so far along, many will die in a few years in our own desert southwest...it is just too late to do anything.
Doesn't matter if they find a way to make an attractive cyber truck, it will always be too expensive to make a difference.
Take from the poor and give to the rich...just how the Republican Party operates, has operated, will always operate.

Stupidity meets massive insane greed, all in conspiracy to turn the stock market into a massive pump and dump scheme. And no one is left in government to stop the "in our face" apparent criminality.

Trump is the mean little kid who gets off torching ant hills and hurting neighborhood stray cats...it isn't about rational thinking it is about finally being able to be powerful somewhere, somehow.

We all know that there are those who desperately want a new Cold War, and that includes Russia, China, and Trump .

Bottom line, ask yourself who Trump is working to elevate, to defend, and who he is working to weaken and hurt.
As it is, low income seniors who depend on social security, medicare, medicaid, subsidized housing, affordable medical care, well, that is not a group he is working to help. He hates their security, which he sees as from taxes that really belong to him and the other billionaires.

Well, Trump has been pretty consistent in one way, I have I don't have to wonder if any of his appointments are good for the country...they ain't.
Even if we survive Trump's second term, and he is really not able to run for a third...we will be much, much weaker as a world power, and many of our alliances will be in pieces.

One would hope the award would inspire more members of the Republican Party to protect the country from this current administration. One wouldn't bet the ranch however that that will happen any time soon. I have little doubt that if somehow the Republican Party wins and keeps the House in the midterms, ss and medicare and medicaid and other vital programs will be cut even more.
Hard to believe that a man worth 400 billion dollars can be so cruel.
Trump has never been anything but cruel, at least since he ran for office.

I really do think there is a significant chance we will be in a shooting war by the midterms...it was what got George W. Bush reelected even though a very unpopular President. Hope that is just my stress level talking, or writing.

While I have high regard for our American military...Trump's appointments including his Secretary of Defense makes me more than a little worried if a massive shooting war ever breaks out. I worry Trump and his team can be leveraged..that is, they can be bought off to sacrifice Taiwan . Hope neither a war breaks out nor Trump's appointments have to make major decisions.

I mourn his election and unfortunately the pain of his administrant is a daily torment for a lot of us who actually respect democracy and the rule of law and the two party system. Of course, he enjoys the fact we suffer under the government of Musk and Trump. Not sure Trump is the one pulling most of the strings.

I really and truly am surprised that the Republican Party was able to find so many people willing to subvert our democracy and its power sharing ways.

Taking from the poor and powerless so the rich have it all...it is the mantra of the Trump misadministration, all the way down to disaster relief for those devastated by natural disasters.

Recently talked with a person who was a veteran of the Vietnam War, who was still for Trump. I have no way to understand the mind that thinks that way.
