More than anything it is being poor and excluded...if you grow up in a very poor neighborhood and no one has much of anything, the pain of not belonging isn't so powerful. I grew up in rural CT in the middle of the last century and lived until second grade in a cabin that had no running water...it had an outhouse. But no one had a tv, and everyone could afford a radio....

Ethics violation in this time of Trump is just another way of saying someone is on the outs with the gang running things. Trump is a walking, talking ethics violation...his crypto shenanigans alone in previous days would have earned him an impeachment.

And thanks to the Democratic Party for opposing the Trump fascist takeover of our country and for working mightily to save or social programs that keep many alive.

Making life more difficult for Americans for years now...the Trump gang put into place by MAGA. The fact that many of them are low income and perhaps soon to be needful of those health programs that Trump is cutting...not a factor in their votes, nor is it a factor in Trump's Health and Human Services.

There are several past Republican Party Speakers of the House who, I am sure, read the headline that Mike Johnson is being run ragged by the members, and laugh a very dark laugh. Not the first time a minority of fanatics ran the show.

When one goes by I have the same reaction...it is more ugly than anything, and there is nothing that can be done to make it anything but a political statement...That Musk at times is an idiot.

Let's see, it is a monumentally stupid idea to put thousands of American boots on the ground in Iran.
The war will drag on as the Vietnam War dragged on unless something is done.
America could, in effect, pull a "Vietnam" and declare victory and go away, far away.
Or...and here is my nightmare that actually could happen, Iran could decide to attack the American homeland with a major terrorist attack, kill hundreds, and then all bets would be off...we would be Israel, in effect.
