Elon Musk to exit government, upset that Trump bill undermines DOGE's work
arstechnica.com
... Senior White House officials such as Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller "were particularly irked by those comments, and the White House was forced to call Republican senators to reiterate Trump's support for the package," according to Reuters. The news article said that "Musk did not have a formal conversation with Trump before announcing his exit" and quoted a source as saying that Musk's departure was decided "at a senior staff level."

But even then, Musk said he would likely continue for "the remainder of the president's term, just to make sure that the waste and fraud that we stop does not come roaring back" and that "I think I'll continue to spend a day or two per week on government matters for as long as the president would like me to do so and as long as it is useful." ...
Last week, Musk posted that he was "back to spending 24/7 at work and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms."
Lawsuits against Musk, DOGE continue

In one case filed by 14 states against Musk, DOGE, and Trump, a federal judge dismissed President Trump from the lawsuit on Tuesday but said the lawsuit can proceed against Musk and DOGE.

This is a surprise?
Why?
The ABA vets lawyers based upon their ability to uphold the law.
The Trump admin apparently wants to vet lawyers based upon their adulation to the Cult of Trump.
