It seems to be apparent he isn't wanting to go in and crush them like we could do.

You sure about that? Do "third world counties" even have real elections? I am gonna bet most don't. Winning 100% of the vote hours after the elections is a little more suspect than winning by a close count days or even weeks later.

For every action there's a reaction.
So long as birthright was basically a question whether it will stand or how will be interpreted, there wasn't a clear course of action to take next.
The Supreme Court gave Trump a lot of authority establishing guidelines for entering America.
Until you enter the country, you may not request asylum.
So Republicans will likely do what always should have been done all along.
