Former Arizona legislator Austin Smith has been offered a plea deal in a multiple-felony criminal case that alleges he personally forged numerous voter signatures on his own petitions for reelection. Smith was indicted in June by a Maricopa County grand jury on four felony counts for presenting documents he knew were forged to the Arizona Secretary of State's Office, in addition to 10 misdemeanor counts for personally forging the names of electors on his reelection petitions. At the time he was indicted, Smith was strategic director of Turning Point Action, Turning Point USA's advocacy arm.

The Justice Department has reportedly scrubbed a study that documented the frequency of far-right violence from its website, according to 404 Media. "The number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism," the opening paragraph of the study reads. "Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives. In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives." read more
