The IDF killed 59 and wounded 200 Palestinians near food aid centers in Gaza. The IDF said it was reviewing the matter. The shooting comes as many Gazans are in the grip of famine, according to international aid agencies. The UN said a "very limited" amount of food was being brought into the Strip. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Israel will not end the killing in Gaza until hundreds of thousands of Palestinians leave the enclave. "We will end this campaign when Syria is dismantled, Hezbollah is severely beaten, Iran is stripped of its nuclear threat, Gaza is cleansed of Hamas and hundreds of thousands of Gazans are on their way out of it to other countries, our hostages are returned, some to their homes and some to the graves of Israel," said Smotrich during his speech in the illegal settlement of Eli in the central occupied West Bank. Smotrich claimed that these are not only the goals of the government but rather a consensus of the Israeli people and soldiers. read more

The invasive Asian needle ant is a stinging, carnivorous pismire that has been slowly spreading across the US. Last year at least three cases of life-threatening anaphylactic reactions were reported in Georgia, making this little (and little-known) insect a growing problem. Asian needle ants will reach their yearly peak numbers in July and August. They are small and blend in so well that stings often occur when someone, perhaps while gardening or moving wood, unknowingly disturbs them. "Imagine somebody inserting a needle directly into your flesh," said one researcher. These ants are now widespread on the East Coast. For some, the stings can be life-threatening. For others, it's an unusual pain that can come and go for hours. Pet owners should be vigilant about where their dogs and cats venture to. read more

Blaise Metreweli (47) will be the first woman to lead the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). She is currently Director General "Q", the head of the crucial technology and innovation division that keeps the identities of operatives secret. "Q" comes up with methods to counter adversaries like China that uses biometric surveillance. Metreweli joined MI6 in 1999 and worked continuously as an intelligence officer, including director-level roles at MI5, the domestic intelligence service.

  • Historic note: The first head of MI6 was Royal Navy Captain Mansfield Cumming. He always signed his letters "C" and the codename has stuck. Captain Cumming wrote in green ink, so to this day, the head of MI6 is the only person in Whitehall who will write in green. read more

Flash flooding caused by torrential rains killed five people " including a 3-year-old child " in northern West Virginia and rescue crews were searching for several missing people Sunday, while authorities were assessing damage to roads, bridges, natural gas lines, and other infrastructure. 2.5 to 4 inches of rain fell in parts of Wheeling and Ohio County within about half an hour on Saturday night. The unexpected deluge overwhelmed local waterways and infrastructure and submerged vehicles in small towns east of the Ohio River, including in Triadelphia and Valley Grove. Ohio County's emergency management director Lou Vargo said: "It happened so quickly and so fast. ... I've been doing this for 35 years. I've seen major floods here in the city and the county. I've never seen anything like this." The West Virginia rains followed heavy downpours in San Antonio on Thursday that killed 13 people. read more

    #4: Hilarious photo, thanks.

Maybe one of these Asian needle ants struck back on behalf of the migrants or the Iranians. Evil Stepford Wife DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was hospitalized today for an allergic reaction: www.cnn.com

Noem has bad karma. A few months ago her handbag was stolen while she dining at a posh restaurant. What's next for the Puppy Killer this year? Can't wait to read about it.

    #12: media.snopes.com

Snopes.com deemed this image fake, but there is nothing phony about Dotard Trumpf's verbal diarrhea or his visible and audible signs of increasing dementia.

Is there anyone on the planet that does not know Dotard Trumpf is the Court Jester at the G-7 Summit in Canada?
