That would be the simplest explanation of Trump's own behavior over the last several months. That would be the simplest explanation of the behavior of Bondi and Blanche and Patel. That would be the simplest explanation of why they thought there was a need for such a high-level dinner to figure out how to salvage their unraveling coverup.

I know it may seem hopelessly naive, but I'm still surprised these goons expect people to swallow their story the meeting was kosher. It absolutely reeks. I mean, yeah, we have the word of one of Trump's criminal defense attorneys when he became a convicted felon with support from a convicted child sex trafficker and abuser that this is all just fine, but, still ... .

I can see international travelers coming to the US on business, but perhaps less so than in the past. Tourists? Fuhgedaboudit. This country's current rep stinks and it gets worse by the day. Some of that is exaggerated, but a good deal of the negative reaction is fact-based on this being a place with armed, masked paramilitaries roaming the streets, people being snatched off the streets by disguised federal agents, and an an absolute infestation of loons armed to the teeth with firearms. And that's just for openers. The face this country is presenting to the world is far from a welcoming one.

It's unfortunate Mexico doesn't have a process in place for recreating Coahuila y Tejas.
