How and why people get themselves into "deals" with Trump remains a bit of a mystery for me, even now.

I mean, I understand the self-interest angle, whether it's the promise of money, publicity, access, whatever. But self-interest also includes trying to anticipate consequences, certainly narrow and personal (although one might hope for more).

And Trump has a long history of effing over virtually everybody who bumps into his wobbly orbit.

So, yeah, you'd think.

It's almost as if this six times bankrupt (even running a gambling den) and nearly three-score times convicted felon hasn't got a clue, except when it comes to lying and thievery.

May help account for Kennedy's messianic certainty about his own foolishness.

When and if completed, according to current (ever fluctuating) "plans," the Donald J. Trump White House Monument to Monumental Wretched Taste & Money Laundry Annex is slated to be about twice as big as the White House. And that's the minimum.

The "nits make lice" approach has been a fairly common feature of this nation's approach to its xenophbia and self-proclaimed "exceptionalism."
