Archeology and especially Egyptology today is very exciting what with all the new tools at their disposal. Lidar, Muon Detectors, AI, Ground Penetrating Radar, advanced DNA analysis and 3D photographic representations have revolutionized the field.

There were many smart humans in our past. And many Gods. Even before there was a Jesus. (Or One Ring to Rule them All.)

Even well after, too.

Some attribute their powers to divine beings divine inspiration or a god or gods. Some do not.
