W.G. Snuffy Walden - West Wing Suite
www.youtube.com

Yeah, I often watch the West Wing DVDs that I have to assuage me that Pres Trump's reign of terror upon the Constitution is only a temporary thing.

That aside, from what I've heard, the producers of The West Wing decided that a more classical music oriented music background would be better for the show than the original rock-oriented music background that had originally proposed.

imo, good decision.

@#7

My current view is that you may be looking towards a future that may not be allowed to exist.

The Twelfth of Never
en.wikipedia.org

... "The Twelfth of Never" is a popular song adapted from an old English folk song in 1956 by Jerry Livingston and Paul Francis Webster. Various recording artists have had chart hits with "The Twelfth of Never", including Johnny Mathis, Cliff Richard, Donny Osmond and Slim Whitman. ...

"The Twelfth of Never" was adapted from "The Riddle Song" (also known as "I Gave My Love a Cherry"), an old English folk song. Jerry Livingston and Paul Francis Webster wrote the bridge and new lyrics in 1956.[1]

The title "The Twelfth of Never" is an idiom referring to the date of a future occurrence that will never come to pass.[2] In the case of the song, "the 12th of Never" is given as the date on which the singer will stop loving his beloved, thus indicating that he will always love her. ...

@#8 ... Georgia included over 300,000 improperly certified ballots in their total. ...

...Trump: "We have anywhere from 250 [thousand] to 300,000 ballots were dropped mysteriously into the rolls, much of that had to do with Fulton County, which hasn't been checked."

Fact check: Trump's made-up claims of fake Georgia votes (January 2021)
www.mprnews.org
The facts: There's nothing mysterious or suspect about it. He is describing a legitimate vote counting process, not a sudden surge of malfeasance.

Trump appears to be referring to large numbers of votes that were tabulated in the early hours of Wednesday morning after Election Day and later. The arrival of those votes was not mysterious, but expected, because many of Georgia's 159 counties had large stacks of mail-in ballots that had to be tabulated after polls closed and in-person ballots were counted.

Indeed, news organizations and officials had warned in the days leading up to the election that the results would likely come in just as they did: In-person votes, which tend to be counted more quickly, would likely favor the president, who had spent months warning his supporters to avoid mail-in voting and to vote in person either early or on Election Day.

And mail-in-ballots, which take longer to count since they must be removed from envelopes and verified before they are counted, would favor Biden. States tend to count mail-in ballots at the end of the process. ...

Trump's Bedminster golf club cited for 18 health violations (June 2025)
njbiz.com

... President Donald Trumps private golf club in Bedminster was cited for 18 health code violations during an inspection last month by the Somerset County Department of Health.

Following a May 6 visit to the Trump National Golf Club, health officials gave the establishment a score of 32 out of 100 and issued a "conditionally satisfactory" C grade.

According to the initial retail food inspection report, nine of the 18 violations were considered critical issues that could pose a serious health risk. Inspectors said the facility was not compliant with many rules regarding how food should be protected from contamination, such as expired milk in refrigerators as well as improperly stored raw meat. These problems were corrected on site, the report showed.

The health department said it found dishwashers did not reach the required temperature of 170 degrees for proper sanitation. Officials also cited four separate handwashing violations, including sinks without soap or paper towels, one lacking a required sign and another used to store a sanitizer bucket.

Additionally, inspectors observed a "household" microwave in the main kitchen when only "commercial grade equipment" should be in use onsite, the report said. ...

President Trump backs Blakeman for New York Governor after Stefanik drops out
www.nbcnewyork.com

... President Donald Trump on Saturday endorsed Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman in the race for New York Governor, barely 24 hours after another favorite of the President, North Country Rep. Elise Stefanik ended her bid.

"Bruce Blakeman is a FANTASTIC guy, will win the big November Election and, without hesitation, has my Complete and Total Endorsement," Trump wrote on social media. "Bruce is MAGA all the way, and has been with me from the very beginning," he posted.

The president's announcement comes less than two weeks after Blakeman launched his bid to unseat Democratic incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul. Trump had refused to take sides against either Blakeman or Stefanik, both seen as enthusiastic loyalists. "He's great, and she's great. They're both great people," the president told reporters on Dec. 9, the day Blakeman formally began his quest. ...

Republican critics fear incomplete disclosure of Epstein files will loom over midterms
www.reuters.com

... Extensive redactions and the limited number of documents released related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein angered some Republicans and did little to defuse a scandal threatening the party ahead of 2026 midterm elections.

The Trump administration touted this week's release of a cache of Epstein-related files as a show of transparency, but a handful of Republican lawmakers and right-wing media figures joined Democrats in blasting Friday's disclosures as inadequate and possibly in violation of a law that prompted their release. ...
