I deal with the FAA on a continual basis.

There are as many FAA employees than planes in the air on any given day. Yet it took 6 months to get my registration after my plane purchase. It takes months to receive the actual updated license. Ask someone who fails a medical how long it takes the FAA to respond.

On top of all that, they don't run the two towers I use in the BayArea; Salinas, and San Carlos, these are privately run. Something I don't understand, if you have a short fall of controllers, the best way to train them is at the smaller fields. Same way the airlines do. Yet the FAA relies and pays for private companies to run these towers.

I find this stat interesting: 43.8% of lesbian women and 61.1% of bisexual women have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner at some point in their lifetime, as opposed to 35% of heterosexual women.
