In essence... what they were trying to do... by not calling it a war... was reverse the "Koreanization" and why Korea was called the forgotten war... because we lost... it was humiliating.. so rather than risk calling it a warrrrrrrrr... even though they were using draftees.

Then China got a nuke... and we started to make nice with China... now they own us.
Japan crushed our auto industry a couple years later.

We've literally been fighting Asia for the last 80 years...

We haven't won a war in 80 years... Nearly a quarter of that in the last two... We've had two stalemates... Korea left the quagmire... Desert Storm stopped... by Bushtrud 1 to "avoid a quagmire" in the hopes it would end the "Vietnamization" of the military. A war his son avoided... but who sought to insert us into the quagmire... having never met a "quagmire" he couldn't buy his way out of... telling us poors... to be ready for a long hard televised slog... Mission accomplished!

Here we go again... cut the food stamps... they don't want no fat poor people to do the dirty work... Capitalism can't survive without an inslaved class.

When my father returned home from Vietnam, he was exposed to Agent Orange. I hadn't seen him in almost two years... he was emaciated... skin was yellow... the whites of his eyes red... and his face was disfigured with lumps... I wasn't sure it was him... when he motioned me over to hug daddy... not at all like those promo pics of returnees... pictured as whole... greeting their kids on a tarmac...

He lasted 14 years... a stranger... crazy... dying by the inch... from friendly fire.

Venezuela and Iran are the only two OPEC nations that didn't play nice with the US. They both have big stashes too...

Canada's military was the only nation that stuck with us in Afghanistan until nearly the end. They have a whole bunch of veterans of that conflict "burdening" their medical system too. They fought against the Nazis for two years before the USA. I love Canada. It's not perfect, but in a world where utopia doesn't exist and never has, it comes closer than the USA.
