A Texas middle school sent a letter to parents a few days before classes began to inform them the dress code has been updated to ban all-black clothing, due to concerns about mental health and crime.

"It's his hypocrisy, stupid."
Hypocrisy is such a lame argument, on both sides. This is just as boring as when the right goes after Walz's "hypocwithy", and vice versa.
But if you do think hypocrisy is important with voters, you should be concerned with how the perception of attacking Vance's apparent queerness comes across as hypocritical...

"I was watching a video of someone interviewing a trump turd and she said she was voting for Trump because Biden raised her taxes."
She's obviously ignorant of how taxes work, like most people apparently. That doesn't make her any more of a turd than you. Since Harris is currently surging ahead of Trump, why don't you STFU and let your candidate win, instead of reaching for the new deplorables label to sabotage her campaign with?

") this is the first time they might have heard jokes about their name? Did they attend high-school?"
Of course they heard jokes about their name. They just weren't amused by them.
(Actually, the worst joke was about how their name sounded like "wreck-a-mirror".)
"the word recamier is quite different than the word sofa or recliner."
The definition you posted earlier in the exact same comment suggests otherwise.

My friends who have the surname Recamier are not amused by these recliner jokes.

Are we really still doing this? Seriously, nobody except those with OCD cares how many lies Trump has told. Everyone knows that's what he does.

I'm not a fan of Musk, but it's ridiculous to characterize his "weighing in on political debates" as 'meddling' in world politics. He has just much right to weigh in as any other lame celebrity or influencer.

None of these politicians running for office have great character. The question is whether their character (or lack thereof) falls below an acceptable bar.
Things like past plagiarism (in Biden's case) or padding/embellishing a C.V. (in Walz's case) is hardly comparable to someone who abused a public office and bragged about intending to do it again.

The controversy prompted the EPISD to issue a statement to the news site outlining the reasoning behind the policy change. "Charles Middle School is updating its uniform policy to enhance students' well-being and sense of pride," the statement read.

Anyone who's ever experienced Minnesota winters knows this isn't a good idea.

Haven't been following this much since I've been traveling, but I saw an interview on CNN international with his commanding officer, who apparently sounded butthurt that Walz wasn't subservient to protocol at the end of his military career. If this is the main criticism, it sounds like the type of lame arguments that Democrats would make about their opponents when desperate.

Good. Glad to see that at least one of the parties is primarying out the fringe incumbents, instead of the other way around.

"When was he not receiving 24/7 media coverage?"
He's been struggling recently since Biden dropped out and endorsed Harris.

Well, he got what he wanted. Back in the media coverage.
