Harsh lesson of the day; it takes more to be a successful politician than being far left and black.

Since when did anyone ever think that is all it takes?

This is actually good news for the Democratic Party.

... defeated by St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell. ...

The Democratic Party bolsters its Law and Order credentials, while the GOP cult-worships a criminal.

"Since when did anyone ever think that is all it takes?"

Take a look at the bios of the reps that came before Bush and after her.

There is nothing about her that one expects in a modern house rep.

--------. Can you even read?

Right out of the article attached:
"Bell's victory is a win for pro-Israel groups that spent millions of dollars to boost his candidacy because of Bush's stance on the Israel-Hamas war"

Is this fake news? Conspiracy theory?

The race between Bowman and Westchester County Executive George Latimer in New York's 16th District drew more ad spending " $25 million, according to the ad tracking firm AdImpact " than any other House primary in history. Nearly $15 million of that spending came from the United Democracy Project, a super PAC linked to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a powerful pro-Israel lobby, which backed Latimer."

This is literally foreign interference in US elections.

Most of us here oppose Russia's land grab and attempted genocide in Ukraine.

Why are there so many shills supporting Israel doing the exact same thing?

And you can take your "wah wah antisemitism" and shove it right up your booty hole. My disabled girlfriend is jewish, and she spends most of her day helping Palestinians in Gaza raise money to be able to eat.

---- Israel. And by that I do NOT mean ---- Jews in general. But Israel obviously want to continue its genocide without further obstruction or criticism.

#4 Harsh lesson of the day; it takes more to be a successful politician than being far left and black.

So true and that is all it typically takes for the radical leftist run news media to butt hug a Dem candidate unless they support certain ME elements or oppose others. But they always attack Christians and whites?

Well at least Cori Bush was just a typical lying mediocre Democrat Congress critter, but she didn't commit theft of combat military Valor as did her friend Timmy Walz who brags about giving boys tampons says pathetic sidekick of Kamala.

@#7 ... There is nothing about her that one expects in a modern house rep. ...

At one time (i.e., the last election) her district thought she would be a good House rep.

Then, what changed?

I don't know about the democratic party overall because there's very little difference in the politics of Bush/Bell. He's as progressive as she on most issues other than Israel/Hamas.
As a former constituent of Bush, I will say that I think it is good for the people of Mo-1. I was in Bush's district when she first won back in 2020. I was redistricted to Ann Wagner's district in 2022. I found during those two years that Bush made herself highly accessible to the public and her office was quick to respond to calls and emails (which is far more than I can say for Wagner) but I started to find that Bush's office was not very effective at delivering results. I had a number of times where I'd receive an initial response but never received the follow up that was promised.
As for Bell, he has shown himself to be an effective administrator. When Wesley Bell's office tells you they are going to take some action then you can count on it getting done.

#20 Too bad more people like you don't make such constituent reviews and put it in writing based on personal experience and opinion.

#21 | Posted by Robson at 2024-08-08 10:59 AM | Reply

Cori Bush and every single other Congressperson need to learn that they are not elected to pursue their own personal agenda. They are there to pursue the agenda of the constituency. That is clearly something that she, and many politicians from both Parties seem to have forgotten. The more out of whack with public sentiment the personal agenda is, the more important it is to stay in tune with her constituency.

"Most of us here oppose Russia's land grab and attempted genocide in Ukraine. Why are there so many shills supporting Israel doing the exact same thing?"

If the Ukrainian invasion had been prompted by Ukrainian government forces crossing into Russia to rape and murder 1200 people, Ukraine would have little or no support. In fact it's not outside the realm of possibility that those currently helping Ukraine would have helped Russia.

At best, the average Palestinian on the street is a useful idiot. More likely, they actively support Hamas's actions, even being willing to die to eradicate the Israeli plague.

And I've always wondered...would the Palestinian Israelis, who make up 20% of that country's population be driven into the sea? Or would it just be the jews?

I'm guessing it would most likely the jews that would be subject to the Palestinian final solution to the Israeli question.

To pile on, had the Russian invasion of UKR been prompted by UKR forces raping and murdering kids at a rave, I'd be more than supportive of the Russians putting boots to throats. Especially if the Ukrainians were as supportive of the attacks as the Palestinians have been.

AIPAC runs our government.

Israel decides our elections.

They currently prefer Trump because he's promising to help IDF wipe out Gaza.

Ukraine would have little or no support.

Ukraine does have little to no support, from the Republican Party.

Putin is their leader and they're furious Biden didn't hand Ukraine over to the "savvy genius".
