That's got to be a new record for fmr Pres Trump.

Most reporters asked stated that they were quite vigorous with the former president and will do the same with his opponent.

They were most certainly NOT vigorous questioning Trump. Trump was allowed to speak and no one could even hear reporter's questions. We'd have heard the ado if they all jumped up like they usually do.

It was as quiet as a funeral. Which, in a way, it was ... of his flailing campaign.

@#6 ... vowed to vigorously question every utterance of VP Harris in her next news conference. ...

Does VP Harris prevaricate as much as fmr Pres Trump does? Not only n a press conference, but at rallies?

I saw one commentator talking to a political scientist recently. He asked her why not have a dual-screen fact-checking the candidates in real time?

The political scientist said such a dual screen would not be possible for fmr Pres Trump. She went on to say that trying to fact check fmr Pres Trump in real time is like trying to catch all the raindrops in a storm before they hit the ground.

My view is that if real-time fact-checking is done for fmr Pres Trump, then MAGA would just condemn the news media for trying to distract from what their cult leader is saying.

Are we really still doing this? Seriously, nobody except those with OCD cares how many lies Trump has told. Everyone knows that's what he does.

@#9 ... Are we really still doing this? ...

Why try to trivialize the actions of a Presidential candidate, actions that may not be in the better interests of the people of the United States?

... Everyone knows that's what he does. ...

That "everyone" thing is something that the MAGA folk often use erroneously to project their opinions upon all Americans.

So, let me ask you a question... do the folk who attend fmr Pres Trump's rallies know they are being lied to?

#10 | Posted by LampLighter at 2024-08-11 08:48 PM | Reply | Funny: 1

No they dont know they are being lied to. If all you faithfully watch is Fox and fascist talk radio of course you believe the Trump lies. They are your reality and window to the world. I do think however the Maga enablers who spew the lies know they are lies. We saw this in the Fox Dominion emails.

#9 - Americans have memories like goldfish. I think in the past three years a lot of people forgot how much Dotard lies, how unctuous, how sleazy and criminal his is, time softened people's opinions of him, until they saw him again. Once he started with his racist, sexist schtick people remembered how low of an option they have. While VPOTUS' favorables are increasing as voters get to know and like her, as non-MAGAts recall Dotard, his favorables decline. Harris is now lapping him in areas of concern that voters trust her with more, which now includes the economy. I bet Bedminster's walls are all ketchup red.

Republican Party has a dirty secret, the only way they win the White House is not through the popular vote, they tend to lose those, no, the way to the White House is through white supremacy land. So they blow the racist dog whistle long and hard.

So, let me ask you a question... do the folk who attend fmr Pres Trump's rallies know they are being lied to?

No they don't.

Imagine being in such a bubble that photos, videos, recordings, documents, scientists, teachers, doctors, nurses, news media, politicians, professors, judges, juries, prosecutors, lawyers, the FBI, the NSA, the CIA, state law enforcement, governors, world leaders, and other members of the GOP are all lying and the only one telling the truth is dotard.

That is the state of maga today.

More and more moderate GOP members are endorsing Harris and pointing out the danger to the nation dotard is and it DRIVES HIM ABSOLUTELY INSANE.

I was watching a video of someone interviewing a trumpturd and she said she was voting for Trump because Biden raised her taxes.

The interviewer pointed out that the tax law for personal income taxes is still the dotard tax law from 2017.

She said, no it's not, Biden raised taxes on people. That's why my taxes went up.

He correctly pointed out that there has been NO CHANGES to the 2017 tax law and those tax increases were in the 2017 tax law.

She flat out told him he was lying after she fumbled for a response for ten seconds.

Since Harris is currently surging ahead of Trump, why don't you STFU and let your candidate win, instead of reaching for the new deplorables label to sabotage her campaign with?

"The Great Depression that lasted from 1929 through 1938 was actually two of the worst recessions America has ever experienced occurring back to back. Two recessions also occurred back to back in 1980 through 1982, aggravated by the Iranian oil embargo. America averages a recession about once every six years."

Have someone read the article and explain it to you. There are several more examples of worse economic times for America in the article.

I'll play along for a little bit.

This is a political stump speech not a masters dissertation. Trump's first two words: "I think". So the fact checker is fact checking Trump's thoughts. Is the fact checker's name Kreskin by any chance?

Then Trump goes on to say "our country is in the most dangerous position it's ever been in from an economic standpoint".

He doesn't say "worst" he says "dangerous". What does that mean? He doesn't say. We could assume it's the massive debt we've been accumulating combined with inflation which is concerning to many economists. We've seen what happens in other countries when the currency loses its value. It's dangerous.

The whole fact check is a farce. It's a parody of a fact check that someone would do if they wanted to discredit fact checking.

You're confusing taxing certain income, with claiming it in the first place. World of difference.

And keep in mind: staff will still have to keep records on tips, since they'll still be liable for Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes, and state income taxes.
