I suspect Trump saw his poll numbers going down and needed to extricate himself from the situation.

What better way than to pass the blame to someone else, i.e. scapegoats.

Knowing how deceitful Trump is, I have my doubts about the tenuous "rich earth" story ~~ plus the fact that Trump is taking Putin's "word" that Russia won't continue to attack Ukraine. Putin's "word" means the same thing as Trump's "word." NOTHING, as both of them has proven in the past.

For days Trump has been pushing the false idea that Zelensky started the war. Using that as an excuse, Trump could just as likely have Zelensky arrested as a "war criminal" and held in prison for extradition to Russia.

Trump needs $4.5 TRILLION and he needs it NOW!

There's not a thought in his head about who he has to trample to get it. Trump is just living in the moment.

The budget showdown is March 4th and he's sweating bullets.

The country is finally getting the lowdown on Trump which will probably put GOP congresscritters skating on thin ice in the midterms ~~ that is, if we still have a congress in two years.

Three smackdowns won't phase Trump one bit. He's just testing his boundaries. The Ace he has up his sleeve is the U.S. Supreme Court. If they dare.

By denying Trump a few "wins" to demonstrate their bipartisanship, I have a feeling the U.S. Supreme Court is setting us up for THE BIG ONE that will give Trump the unlimited power he's sought after his entire mentally deranged life ~~ including the authority to nullify States' Rights, thereby avoiding a Constitutional Convention normally needed to alter (in Trump's case, re-write) the U.S. Constitution. (With the assistance of the Heritage Foundation, of course.)

Reid seemed to know her "stuff" but the real reason I couldn't watch her show was because I couldn't stand to look at her. She always reminded me of a circus wagon. Loud, gaudy and unserious. It was too distracting for whatever message she was trying to deliver.

I watch MSNBC but when Joy Reid came on, I reached for the remote.

I hate to admit it but in this case only LFTHNDTHRIDS is right. It was his choice. He DID beat two people to death with a baseball bat. That was a harder way to die than the one he chose for himself.

I'm not feeling any sympathy here.

The real atrocities will happen when Dictator/King Donald Trump gets to exercise his kingly right to choose the punishment.

Fortunately, Executive Orders are not acts of Congress and can be overturned. The bad part is that it could take years, especially to build back the trust of foreign alliances.
