I'm sure some folks have figured out the historical parallels to another time.

France has water that has varying ranges of natural fluoridation - typically 0.5mg/liter.
Also France allows the production and use of Fluoride in salt. We don't allow that here.
Sweden's water contains anywhere from 0 to 4.1mg/liter. That's outrageously high, btw. Nearly a quarter of the wells used in Sweden have fluoride levels twice (1.5mg/liter, actually) the recommended value of 0.7 here.
Are you going to site Sweden as an example of mental health issues?

Naturally occurring fluoride is a different compound, so I'm confused over this particular artificial isolates origin and historic testing.

No, it's not. They are identical. There is no difference in water with natural occurring fluoride and purposely fluoridated water Do not confuse the source of the fluoridation with the product of the fluoridation. The water's chemical makeup is identical, no matter the source of the fluoridation.

Do you know how we figured out that adding fluoride to our water made people healthier? Helped them keep their teeth? Prevent dental caries? The history? None of this is secret. It's all well known. As is the benefits of fluoridation.

Like anything, though, more (past a certain point) works against you. Like taking too much medicine, eating too much of one thing, or simply drinking too much water. You can die from that.

This is why I specifically stated 0.7mg/liter. Some counties here have higher naturally occurring levels of Fluoride in the water, so they add very little or none, as long as it doesn't go above 0.7mg/liter. In populations where the water is higher than 0.7mg/liter (significantly higher) there is evidence of decreased IQ and other developmental issues. This is not something specific or peculiar to Fluoride. It's the way most things work in this world.

That level is quite safe.
Those that cite health issues with Fluoride are citing naturally occurring fluoridated water where the levels are well above 0.7 mg/liter.
