We and others have talked a lot about a potential blue wave, where the Democrats win dozens of House seats. Currently, the House is 214D, 218R, and three vacancies (LaMalfa, Swalwell, and Gonzales). But remember, there is no giant House election, like Hungary had last week. There are 435 separate House elections. To pull off a blue wave, Democrats have to flip a substantial number of Republican-held districts, nearly all of them with a PVI of R+x.

The Trump administration on Monday launched a new system to begin refunding $166 billion in tariffs to U.S. importers after the Supreme Court ruled the levies unlawful earlier this year. The system, known as CAPE, will allow U.S. Customs and Border Protection to issue consolidated electronic payments to importers, streamlining what would otherwise be a complex, entry-by-entry refund process. "It's essentially a fast track for processing refunds," said Reed Smith partner Michael Lowell, adding that importers will need to file claims, but the process should be straightforward. "Customs is estimating that refunds will be processed within 60 to 90 days after submission," he added. "If importers file as soon as the system opens, refunds could begin flowing by mid-June to mid-July." The rollout marks the first phase of the refund effort, meaning not all importers or tariff categories will be eligible right away.
President Donald Trump is said to be desperate for Joe Rogan not to give up on their faltering bromance after the right-wing podcaster turned on him over Iran.
"Israel never talked me into the war with Iran, the results of Oct. 7th, added to my lifelong opinion that IRAN CAN NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON, did. I watch and read the FAKE NEWS Pundits and Polls in total disbelief. 90% of what they say are lies and made up stories, and the polls are rigged, much as the 2020 Presidential Election was rigged. Just like the results in Venezuela, which the media doesn't like talking about, the results in Iran will be amazing " And if Iran's new leaders (Regime Change!) are smart, Iran can have a great and prosperous future!"
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and bloodthirsty AIPAC warmonger US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) played Dummkopf Trumpf like a fiddle
For years, the Democratic establishment appeared to have known enough about Eric Swalwell to worry, whisper and warn. But not enough, apparently, to do anything. As people recount it now, allegations about his behavior toward women have long circulated among Hill staff, California Democrats, Alameda County political figures, and reporters " some dating back to 2013, when he was first elected to Congress " yet none of this ever materialized into actual consequences for the now-disgraced former lawmaker

In between singing songs, the two leaders discussed the Mayor's vision for this City, and the importance of giving New York's Cutest the strongest start possible."

The decisions by these companies to open or expand headquarters, design or manufacturing spaces in California runs counter to a narrative that has gained national traction " that the state is bad for business and companies are fleeing. That's despite the state's economy growing 5% last year to a record $4.25 trillion, making it larger than all but the U.S., China and Germany " buoyed not only by defense and aerospace but also by AI, where California is the global leader. The state is home to nearly 400 "unicorns", or billion-dollar startups " more than any other state, according to CB Insights. It also gobbled up nearly two-thirds of U.S. venture capital last year, with San Francisco Bay Area startups such as OpenAI leading the way, business information platform Crunchbase found.
