Republican Opposing Paramilitary Activity Bill Under Fire

"Let's talk about the Nazis," [Maine state lawmaker Laurel] Libby says in a clip posted by the Maine House Democratic Campaign Committee. "I would like to know what they did that was illegal. I would like to know what they did, in detail if folks would like to share, that was wrong, that infringed on another person's right."

This whole idea that Nazis are victims is always hilarious.

Say what you want about the Nazis,
but it was a Nazi who killed Hitler,
so they can't be all bad.

LOL right. Hitler is in heaven for killing Hitler.

Heaven... I'll let a Christian field that one!

"This is the Republican Party in 2024," said Democratic former Maine Speaker of the House, Ryan Fecteau.

Connecticut Democratic Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff commented, "What the actual $%#@? This is not normal. Vote to save democracy."

When the westboro baptist psychos were protesting funerals of soldiers I believe similar legislation was passed to prohibit it within a certain radius of where funerals were being held and the courts ruled that unconstitutional.

Right to assembly, etc.....

"Say what you want about national socialism. At least it's an ethos."

When Nazi acts like terrorist they forfeit their right.

Terrorists give up their constitutional rights when they decide to terrorize others.

It's become blatantly obvious that this is now the core GQP ideology, their clutching Nazi Nick Fuentes to their breasts, Dotard using Hitler lines in his speaches with ZERO pushback, and Dbags dressed in Nazi iconography, waving swastika flags showing up at GQP gatherings with NOBODY disavowing them proves they are now the American Nazi party. Hail Drumpf.

"When Nazi acts like terrorist they forfeit their right."

That's true, but when they are not acting like terrorists, they have every right to hold whatever beliefs they want.

Not sure about any of you, but I was never a fan of government suppression of communists. Not sure if that's something we want to go back to.

Ok, this woman is so Germany 1938. Sure, in the good old USA, we let Nazi's, KKK, Hamas/ISIS supporters hold rallies these days but to go in front of a judge and let the world know that you defend these type of rallies is disgusting if you ask me.

They do share similarities though.

Specifically, this activity is training with intent to weaponize.

The Westboro were not only attracting recruits, but attacking victims.

Both appear to be weaponized, training in imagined warfare.
