NY's Highest Court Leaves Trump Gag Order in Effect

New York's highest court has declined to hear Donald Trump's appeal on the gag order in his hush money case, according to a decision list posted Tuesday. The gag order, issued by Judge Juan Merchan in the criminal case against Trump, remains in effect.

Shocking as DR righties assured us the gag order was TOTALLY unconstitutional ... despite stacks of case law to the contrary.

I sort of understood it during the trial. Now? This is a flagrant violation of his 1A rights. This judge should be brought up on ethics charges.

Are you pretending that wouldn't put them in danger, or is your view their safety shouldn't concern the court?

You seem to be ignoring 1A has limits, especially when it involves the safety of court proceedings.

SHOULD that be a consideration, or not?

And if you're pretending jurors have nothing to worry about, check out the 60 Minutes interview of the former head of the WI Republican Party, who said he was afraid if he didn't go along with the fake elector scheme, and that caused Trump to lose, he and his family's lives would be in danger.

If Trump's legal dream team believed even 1% of the lies their client tells, then every judge and every prosecutor involved (with the exception of the rookie federal judge in Florida) would already be facing ethics complaints.

Why do you suspect that hasn't happened? Trump can file a complaint any time he wants.

Once sentencing is over, there should be a new gag order - 136 years in Sing Sing solitary. (4 years for each of the 34 felony counts, served consecutively, in solitary because it's easier for the SS to 'protect' him that way.)
