Democrats’ Deception May Win the Election Again

You campaign in poetry. You govern in prose. Mario Cuomo's adage has been updated and adapted by his successors in the modern Democratic Party. The duality they present to voters either side of an election is a deception that has defined American politics and culture for the past 20 years. As they campaign for office, they present a kind of idealized version of themselves to the electorate as mainstream Americans, seeking merely to bring a little unity and compassion to a fundamentally great country in need of reform. Once in office they act as if they have a mandate to remake a benighted country, to reorder an unjust system, to replace American exceptionalism with European social democracy, and to rewrite the nation's values with the precepts of their cultural Marxism.

This one a Wall Street Journal (now owned by the parent company of FoxNews, News Corporation) from Gerard Baker.

... Trump Presidency

In 2016 and 2017, the Journal leadership under Baker was criticised, both from the outside and from within the newsroom, who viewed the paper's coverage of President Donald Trump as too timid.[12] Particularly controversial was the Journal's November 2016 front-page headline that repeated Trump's false claim that "millions of people" had voted illegally in the election, without reporting his statement was inaccurate.[12] ...

@#1 ... a Wall Street Journal ...

fwiw, back in the 80's and 90's I was a reader of the WSJ.

Back then the news articles were excellent. And the OpEd pages, though leaning a bit to the right, were fact-based.

Then the Murdoch empire bought it (2005 or so?), and seemed to have turned the WSJ into just another FoxNews-type media outlet.

imo, of course.

Another Murdoch fanboi posting a garbage op-ed from a Murdoch rag.

Nothing from the Moonie Times today?

Oh well, keep flinging the poo as Sh*tler circles the bowl.

"They want to make them now electric. So that when you go into enemy territory, and you obliterate the enemy and you knock down what those tanks are firing, you do it in an environmentally friendly way," Trump said to rising laughter. "The problem with the Army tanks like cars and like trucks, the problem is that you would have to bring a battery pack along. You're going to pull it like a little wagon, like a child pulls a wagon. So they want to build an Army tank. But, you know, the battery is very big and very heavy.

"I took a cognitive test, and I aced it. Doc Ronny. Doc Ronny Johnson. Does everyone know Ronny Johnson, congressman from Texas?" Trump said, misremembering Representative Ronny Jackson's name while challenging President Joe Biden to take a cognitive test. "He was the White House doctor, and he said I was the healthiest president, he feels, in history, so I liked him very much immediately."

"In fact, he said if I didn't eat junk food, I would live to 200. That's what he said. But I said, Ronny, should I take a test? He said, well, you know, it's Walter Reed. It's sort of a public hospital. If you don't do well, they're going to find out about it. I said, well, you know, like I'm a smart person and, how tough is it? He said, it gets very tough as you get to the middle of it. And I did something that he's never seen done. I aced it. I got every question right. I aced it," Trump boasted."

The 20% of America who's previous role model was Biff Tannen found their real life hero in Donold. He is everything they are... childish, racist, misogynist, bigot, low IQ, hateful and filled with personal grievance. They dream of being "alpha males", being able to publicly bully people who are not just like them, sexually assaulting and raping women and do whatever they want when they want with no repercussions for any of their behavior.

They are the people you see who are screaming at the other kids on a little league team if they make an error on the field.

They are scum. They are the vocal minority yelling and screaming about the "woke" agenda in town board meetings and when asked to define woke they can't.

Sure, there are a billionaires and millionaires who back him but only so they can pollute, abuse employees and push even more the cost of government onto the middle class through tax cuts. They don't care who is hurt so long as they can make hundreds of millions of dollars per year.

The entire GOP is corrupt to the core. Any GOP who dared show some moral or ethical backbone and stood up Dear Leader have been run out of the party. Just look at all the GOP that have come out in support of Harris Walz not because they are turning to the Democratic Party, but rather see the danger that a second Sh*tler term will bring.

Jeff has always been very Pro-Republican-Pedophile on this site.

I'm betting he is jealous he didn't have the money and clout to party with Epstein like Trump and Kennedy.

Trump's Boy Jeffy apparently believes those were all Tourists at the Capitol trying to halt the peaceful transfer of power in this country for the first time... and through violent and illegal means.

So naturally it's his job to defend Trump and attack Dems every chance he gets.

It's the patriotic thing to do!
