A fundraiser for Donald Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 that was slated to take place at the former president's golf course in New Jersey hit a roadblock.

TThe event's website did not provide a reason for the delay or mention a new date when it might take place.

But the primary planner, Sarah McAbee, who runs a nonprofit organization called the Stand in the Gap Foundation, which supports Jan. 6 defendants, said she would try to reschedule it for after the November election, perhaps in February, according to text messages obtained by The New York Times."

lol!

"After the November election..." ??

What J6 rioter awards celebration? Trumpy has never heard of such an awful thing.

Also he had nothing to do with that awful Project 2025 either.

Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more, say no more!

Please! Say no more about either of them.

Fat Loser is out of cash.

The fact that this was even considered is enraging

Maybe his lawyers informed him that holding a ceremony to honor convinced criminals may not play well at his sentencing.

I'll take a guess.

How 'bout . . . Nobody RSVP'd?

Real interesting question:

Trump loses in November, does this event even then take place?

Maybe - but not at Trump's place. Mark it down.

After he loses, he'll be done with those people.

It's also the carrot and stick thing. Trump dangles pardons so those terrorist groups who are not in prison will keep responding to his dog whistles. They'll think they don't have anything to worry about.

The Stand in the Gap website - www.standinthegap.foundation - which looks a lot like an Onion piece in the works.

The sponsors probably didn't pay the $500k deposit and guaranty against F&B charges and damages to the club. Also, when it was determined that attendees would be in dirty boots, jeans and T-shirts, a certain fat orange criminal insurrectionist and style icon decided he couldn't have such miscreants soiling the carpet, stealing the silver and urinating in public...

"attendees would be in dirty boots, jeans and T-shirts, a certain fat orange criminal insurrectionist and style icon decided he couldn't have such miscreants soiling the carpet, stealing the silver and urinating in public."

Keep in mind that the gala wasn't for any of "those" people you just described. They don't have the kind of money Trump is looking for. And, as you said, Trump wouldn't want to soil the premises.

The fleecing of the flock was only for the well-heeled among his supporters. It was supposed to be a fun day of golf, good food, a speech and an open bar (no doubt to loosen their spirit of generosity) to help raise a defense fund for those poor innocent J-6 victims who are being held hostage by the evil Democrats.

My guess is still: The event was cancelled because NO ONE RSVP'd

Was a joke from the start. Now it's an even bigger joke. lol, after the election. When he loses, and he will lose 100%, he will indeed forget about all of the so called "hostages". For the next 60 days he will act as if he had no idea about this, project 2025, saying women should be punished if they get an abortion and he is now even backing away from his role in taking down roe. He's a joke of a so called "man" / he's more like a big baby. A bonafide chicken, coward and pathological liar. What a load.

Well, fraternizing with felons would violate the terms of his release on bail for his trials and conviction.

The joke was that Trump had any intention to carry out the stated purpose of the fundraiser.

Empathy for anybody but himself is nowhere to be found in Trump's character profile.
