The Los Angeles Dodgers made news last offseason when they signed Shohei Ohtani to a $700 million 10 year contract making the starting pitcher/designated hitter the highest paid player in the history of the game. Last night Ohtani made history again when he became the first player in MLB history to record 50 stolen bases and 50 home runs in the same season. He accomplished the feat during a game that many are calling the greatest single game performance ever. He finished the night with 6 hits in 6 at bats including 3 home runs, 2 steals and 10 RBIs. That performance also made him the first player ever to have 3 HRs and 2 SBs in a single game.
