"North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson rejected multiple offers to connect him with I.T. specialists who could investigate a string of racist and disturbing messages posted on a porn website reportedly under his alias.

The rejection"which allegedly followed another denial for legal assistance "s owed seeds of doubt among his staffers, WRAL reported Monday.

The mass exodus from Robinson's campaign over the weekend, which included the exit of his campaign manager and finance director, could be related to Robinson's decision to try to cover things up."

Lindsey says he was "beyond unnerved" by the allegations against Mark Robinson. He adds, "I ran from the parlor into my boudoir, collapsing onto the chaise, calling out for smelling salts. As my companion Dwayne handed me a julep I murmured, 'Black Nazis and porn? Tell me more'"

RGA won't spend any more money in North Carolina.

More from the cited article...

... None of this prevented the Republican Governors Association (RGA) from throwing its support behind Robinson. ...

The RGA has followed through. Data from AdImpact, a company that monitors political ad spending, obtained by Popular Information, reveals that the RGA, an affiliated PAC, and an affiliated non-profit have spent more than $17.3 million since June 11, 2024 on ads in support of Robinson. The money has financed over 20,000 ads across North Carolina supporting Robinson's candidacy. The actual expenditure by the RGA is far higher, as the $17.3 million does not include the cost of producing the ads, polling, or any other activities taken on behalf of Robinson. ...

The amount that the RGA has spent running ads to boost Robinson's candidacy in the last few months exceeds the total that Robinson's campaign has reported raising this campaign cycle ($15,757,019.87).

On Thursday, CNN reported that in a series of posts on a pornographic message board, Robinson referred to himself as a "Black NAZI" and expressed support for reinstating slavery. He also described spying on women in public gym showers and described himself as a "perv." A separate report in the Washington Post revealed that Robinson, using the same message board, praised Hitler's Mein Kampf, calling it a "good read."

Since that bombshell report, the RGA has not made any statement regarding Robinson's candidacy but, according to AdImpact data, the RGA's ads in support of Robinson's gubernatorial campaign have continued to run across North Carolina. ...

@#3 ... RGA won't spend any more money in North Carolina. ...

Yeah, but what about the money they have already spent?

Are they trying to reclaim that money?

#6 | Posted by LampLighter at 2024-09-23 09:43 PM

LAMP

"Are they [RGA] trying to reclaim that money?"

They probably can't unless the advertising venue cancel the contract.

But that's not to say Google, Walmart, CVS, Travelers Insurance, Amazon, Deloitte, Charter Communications, Oracle, Pfizer, Coca-Cola, The Motion Picture Association and Wells Fargo might start to feel a little antsy over their name associated with an admitted sexual pervert.

They could, and probably should, ask for their money back. Just to protect their bottom line should the information get out to the general public.

To their credit, though, I doubt they knew about Robinson's sexual proclivities back in June.

Yeah, I get that same impression after a trip through the results returned by search engines.

Yup.

To repeat those companies are apparently sponsoring (directly or indirectly) Lt Gov Robinson's bid for the Governorship...

"My only question is why haven't more non-irrational, non-conspiracy-aligned Republicans not stopped supporting Trump?"

Disturbing! Democrats need to pass a Constitutional amendment declaring that corporations are not people and make corporate campaign donations illegal.

DANNI

Democrats can't "pass" a constitutional amendment. The U.S. Supreme Court would have to backtrack its decision on Roe v wade.

Also, if Harris wins the presidency, I suspect the U.S. Supreme Court will also want to backtrack its Immunity decision out of fear she'd use it against them.

Wow, amazing guitarists playing the blues ...

Albert Collins, Robert Cray and Johnny Copeland - The Dream (1987)

Lyrics excerpt...

www.azlyrics.com

...
[Bob's vocal:]
Last night
Once again I had the dream
I tossed and I turned
That old feeling's still the same
It was so real
I woke up cold and sweating
I wonder did I call her name?

In the dream she was right there with me
Right there with me in the bed
She said, "Bobby, come and kiss me"
"Never leave me!" is what she said
But when I reached out to hold her
Oh, I woke my wife instead

[Collins solo with Bob on rhythm]

Once againnnnnnnnn!
Once again, I had the dream
Six years since I've seen her
Ain't no doubt about what it means, no, no
I tried hard not to think about her
But all she left me was this dream

All she left me was the dream
All she left me was a dream

A dream

All she left me was the dream
...

Yeah, they don't write songs like that anymore...

I heard on the news last night that the RGA has stopped contributing to the Robinson campaign.

Trump did not mention Robinson's name at his recent North Carolina rally.

Polls show there aren't many rational, non-conspiracy aligned Republicans. Most believe the lies and conspiracies even after debunking.

And the few remaining don't care.
