Liberal Redneck - Takeaways from the VP Debate

JD lied all slick like and Walz folks'ed it up with the truth in a strangely civil VP debate last night.

More

(for the record, Trae and JD know each other; they and their wives have gone out together, but that was before the Big Change when JD was purchased by Peter Thiel. Trae was never impressed.)

Comments

all right well let me start the same way
JD started tonight by stating appropo of
nothing and completely irrelevant to the
subject at hand

that I too am just an
all Shucks hay seed trailer baby with a
pill Billy mama and ergo you should like
me all right

with that aside I'll say
this for JD

considering the fact that if
you put him in a coffee shop in a
Midwestern Mall ask him how his day is
going he starts malfunctioning and
smoking out the ears

he's actually
pretty good at talking when he's been
programmed to do so but here's the
problem while a lot of the things JD
said tonight may have sounded all well
and good they were in fact all dumb and
bad

that's right the boy knows how to
polish a turd right he gussied up a lot
of 'em tonight yes he did

first of all I didn't realize how many things
were migrants fault

you know I mean we
all know they coming up here stealing
all the jobs

criming all the crime obviously

but before tonight I didn't
realize that the outrageous price I paid
for my home was in fact because of
migrants

I didn't realize that mine and
JD's Mama's pill addictions wasn't
because of big Pharma it was migrants

this whole time me and JD and our kids they
got to go to active shooter drills every
other semester at school... migrants did
that

I didn't know
at least with that
last one JD did offer a solution

he said
I think we should just bulletproof all
the schools

I guess head to toe body
armor for every kindergarten are truly
the America of our forbear's dreams

Yeah, that was pretty much my overall view of the debate as well.

Sen Vance was good at the smooth-talking to cover the lack of substance and deflection of most of his answers.

At first I was going to say that video was hilarious.

Then I realized it has a lot of truth to it.

Project 2025: what does the rightwing blueprint say about abortion? (August 2024)
www.theguardian.com

... Project 2025, the wishlist for a Trump 2.0 administration drawn up by the influential thinktank the Heritage Foundation, proposes mobilizing an array of government agencies to curb access to abortion " up to and including a national ban on abortion pills that would affect even states that protect abortion rights.

Backed by more than 100 conservative organizations, the 922-page Project 2025 has become notorious in recent weeks as Kamala Harris has started bringing it up at rallies. Donald Trump has tried to distance himself from its many proposals, claiming he doesn't know anything about Project 2025 and has "no idea who is behind it" " even though his administration's officials wrote chunks of it. While the director of the blueprint stepped down last week, a move that the Trump campaign celebrated and that leaves its future operations unclear, the policy ideas endure and closely align with Trump's platform.

"The Dobbs decision [overturning Roe v Wade] is just the beginning," Project 2025 reads. "Conservatives in the states and in Washington, including in the next conservative administration, should push as hard as possible to protect the unborn in every jurisdiction in America."

Project 2025 takes direct aim at abortion pills, indicates that fetuses should have legal rights, and seeks to expand "surveillance" of abortion while eliminating government support for the procedure. In its architects' view, abortion is not healthcare and should never be treated as such.

"Project 2025's whole-of-government approach to dismantling reproductive rights by weaponizing federal agencies and consolidating executive branch power is unprecedented " and goes against most Americans' wishes," said Caroline Ciccone, president of the watchdog group Accountable.US, which has been studying the plan.

Here are some of the proposals that could rewrite abortion access in the US: ...

"The Dobbs decision [overturning Roe v Wade] is just the beginning..."

How right you are!
~Roevember women.

The four pillars of the Harris landslide will be women, folks with XX chromosomes, females, and supporters of the first three groups.

@#7

Yeah, I see, and understand what you are saying.

But I am not yet there with the outcome.
