During a campaign event on Friday in North Carolina, Donald Trump said he would create a task force to monitor "woke generals" and eliminate diversity trainings in the military.

"Purge" is always an ominous term when applied to a mentally ill tyrant such as Donald Trump.

On a more positive note, Trump is obviously straining and stressing for issues. Everything he does now is a Hail Mary.

I imagine that the part of his "brain trust" in charge of cheating and violence is working overtime.

Of course, it was Truman's and Ike's devotion to equality in the military that helped racial equality get a foothold in the US, so of course Trump and his gang of white supremacists want to reverse that.
Equally of course, Putin and the other murderous dictators in the world look at the prospect of one of theirs running the American military into the ground with great approval.
