US Confirms North Korea Has Sent 3,000 Troops to Russia

The U.S. said Wednesday that 3,000 North Korean troops have deployed to Russia and are training at several locations, calling the move very serious and warning that those forces will be "fair game" if they go into combat in Ukraine.

"White House national security spokesman John Kirby said the U.S. believes that at least 3,000 North Korean soldiers traveled by ship to Vladivostok, Russia's largest Pacific port, in early to mid-October.

"These soldiers then traveled onward to multiple Russian military training sites in eastern Russia, where they are currently undergoing training," Kirby said.

"We do not yet know whether these soldiers will enter into combat alongside the Russian military, but this is certainly a highly concerning probability."

Could we invade NK without additional paperwork, since they say 'the war never ended'?
The job could be completed in 3 days.

People don't see the real reason behind this. Just like Hitler used the Spain Civil War to test out Blitzkrieg and new weapons, N. Korea is using this war in Ukraine. The same NATO tactics Ukraine is employing after their US training is how the S. Korean and US military will fight if war touches off there. We have basically given our enemies the single best training exercise in history and they have adapted very well and now that will spread to N Korea. Just another stupid miscalculation by the Democrats trying to act tough and only making our enemies stronger.

Ah, the brilliant military tactical mind of Pedio... it's just breathtaking, really.

Of course, it's just more pathetic rwing blather; blaming Dems for hurricanes style.

What it's really about? Let's ask Experts who aren't best known isn't lying; saying that Biden's daughter claimed she was molested.

What's really happening is that Russia is trading nuclear upgrade tech to NK for some front line cannon, er, drone fodder.

Is this some sort of BlueAnon type code word or something? I have no idea what you are talking about.

- I have no idea

That's been obvious from Day One, Homer.

Okay, so it was some BlueAnon code word. Gotcha. I will remember "hurricanes style" going forward means Dem conspiracy about a GI Joe level weather dominator.

If you assume the current Ukraine troop liquidation rate. Yep. But, Russia loses troops at a much lower level. Probably be there through the next 3-4 months. Which, in reality, is as long as Ukraine will last anyway.

Pretty sure surrender will be treated as a defection and their families would be punished as a result. So, I don't see that happening.

"Pretty sure surrender will be treated as a defection ... "

Pretty sure that as soon as they realize they CAN easily defect many WILL. That's probably why they can only send 3000 troops out of a 1.5 million man North Korean army. They can't risk losing too many.

MTG is a Dem?

Perhaps you should start with working on your reading comprehension. It appears to be sadly lacking.

How North Korea is changing Russia's war in Ukraine
www.dw.com

... In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin traveled to Pyongyang to discuss a security partnership with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Prior to this, there had been rumors of extensive North Korean arms deliveries to Russia. And as early as 2023, the Ukrainian military intelligence had reported that a limited North Korean military contingent had arrived in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine.

Now, latest findings by South Korean national intelligence service (NIS) indicate that the North Korean-Russian ties have reached new heights. ...

North Korean soldiers in Russia

According to a report published last Friday, Pyongyang wants to provide up to 12,000 soldiers for Russia's war in Ukraine.

Of these, 1,500 were said to have already disembarked in the Russian port city of Vladivostok. Meanwhile, the NIS has upped this number to around 3,000 soldiers.

It would appear that North Korean soldiers are to be issued Russian uniforms in order to conceal their identity. DW's fact-checking team was able to confirm that the footage provided by the NIS shows locations in Russia's eastern military districts.

Neither Russia nor North Korea have yet officially confirmed the findings.

"At the moment, there is little concrete information and a lot of vague speculation," Nico Lange, a senior fellow at the Munich Security Conference, told DW.

"But there is no doubt that North Koreans are in Russia for training," he added. "And there is also no doubt that for some time now (...) construction units of the North Korean armed forces have been active in the occupied territories in Ukraine."

And yet, he also cautions not to draw the conclusion that 12,000 North Korean soldiers were now fighting in Russian trenches across Ukraine. "That's not what we've been observing so far," he said. ...

Idk, I have seen videos of Russians surrendering to Drones, and the drones then killing the solider.

This is pretty common now, and a dystopian type of war crime.
