More from the article...

... Donald Trump's election victory against Vice President Kamala Harris this week has emboldened influencers from the Manosphere,' or interconnected misogynistic online communities, who see his election win as a rebuke of reproductive rights and gender equality, said ISD, a nonprofit that advocates policies to fight extremism.

Manosphere content creators "appear to be using the election results as a permission structure to more overtly and aggressively espouse narratives about curbing women's rights," ISD said.

ISD's findings come after an election that saw gender play a key role in both Trump and Harris' campaigns, and where pundits often painted the race as a battle of the sexes. Harris took up abortion rights as a cornerstone issue in a bid to shore up the support of women.

Trump, meanwhile, counted on men, leaning on the cachet of billionaire Elon Musk, podcasts popular with young men and "locker-room" talk about a golf legend's genitalia.

Phrases such as "your body, my choice," promoted by White nationalist podcaster Nick Fuentes, saw a 4,600% increase on Nov. 6, ISD said.

Posts calling for repealing the 19th Amendment, which enabled women the right to vote in the US about a century ago, surged 663% compared to the previous week.

The post by Fuentes on X now has more than 58 million views since Nov. 5.

There were also signs that harassment extended into real life, in schools and university campuses. Young girls and parents have been sharing instances where "your body, my choice" were being directed at girls or being chanted by young boys in classes, ISD said.

Fuentes and others are co-opting the phrase "my body, my choice," which harks back to the 1960s ...

OK, one question I have to ask ...

Will this apparently newly sanctioned horniness ("your body, my choice") among American men, and the yet unknown results of that horniness, make up for the 10 to 20 million workers Pres-elect Trump wants to oust from the Country?

Or will American corporations need to drastically increase wages to compensate to a diminished work force?

And how will those increased wages affect the price of products we buy?

"Women report receiving messages saying "we own your body now" and calling for them to be raped."

Calling for women to be raped doesn't sound like the foundation for a great nation. Maybe MAGA should be changed to MAMA: Make America Misogynist Again. OTOH, Trump did promise to protect American women--from his own followers I guess.

Man, America has gone wacko.

The wealthiest and most powerful people in the world have joined forces with the most morally vacuous ones to convince the masses that they are the underdogs and that everyone else needs to be bullied and threatened.

Lots of examples to show us how American dictatorship fascism will go, and usually it involves a union of those with massive inherited wealth uniting with those who are insane for power, to strut about a stage, who will cheerfully kill and frighten the opposition as Putin did in Russia , as XI does every day in China.
And then in every "democratic " election, the people "choose" their betters, to mock them at every turn. I mourn, I plan, I am glad I am old and have only a few years left.

I think there is a certain dishonesty when people claim to believe in reproductive rights but only want to extend it to women because she bears the child.

I believe if a man is willing to assume responsibility, there should be father's rights.

He should have legal grounds to force the woman to give birth to his child.

There would be exceptions just like as with abortion. But if a woman has consensual sex permitting a man to be with her, she should have diminished reproduction rights if she ends up pregnant from it.

If we're talking about people having productive rights, it's hypocritical to exclude men.

Seems to me women aren't that concerned with reproductive rights but instead just the right to kill the baby.

In 2020, Trump managed to win 43% of women voters. In 2024, despite Democrats' focus on women voters and abortion access, which boosted them in the midterm election races, Trump still increased his numbers with women, notching up that figure two ticks, to 45%.

@#19 ... Well, if they don't care, why should I? ...

Maybe, eventually, they will care, and then start lamenting about ~how can I change my vote?~
