Trump Holds Off on Tariffs

President-elect Trump won't impose broad tariffs on Day 1 of his presidency, and instead will order reviews of trade and currency imbalances, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

President Trump says his administration will impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada on February 1.

"The Journal got an exclusive look at Trump's memo, which orders federal investigations of trade deficits, alleged unfair trade practices and purported currency manipulation by other countries.

The memo directs specific attention to trade deals with China, Canada and Mexico and whether their terms are being honored.

"The memo could signal an overall more moderate approach, even as Trump continues to call tariffs "the greatest thing ever invented" and among "the most beautiful words" in the language."

People would be better off assuming that whenever his lips are moving, he's lying.

So, keeping score:

- Grocery prices are not going to come down
- Not balancing the budget
- Border is not going to be sealed
- The Columbia River (giant faucet) is not going to be diverted to Los Angeles
- Ukraine war is not going to end
- No tarrrifs on Day One

A competent person would have done that before he shot off his yap.

__________
Trump is not the only one who can play the stupid game of "trade wars" and "tariffs" - he will claim credit and say that "his tariffs" led to "favorable trade agreement" and that all the previous presidents didn't know how to "Make America First and Great Again."

Like a "geek show" as a prelude to "freak show" at circus - en.wikipedia.org, en.wikipedia.org.

It's all part of the Celebrity Apprentice 4.0 s**tshow he keeps running to make him look the "man, the legend, like you've never seen before" and justify the "beautiful tariffs" - something about small men with small penises and "Napoleon complex."

Seems, he "doesn't get no respect" anywhere, except from "blinded by the light" sycophants.

But all this "hyperactivity" is just a distraction from Trump staying out of prison, trying to get Nobel Peace Prize for "'peace' in the Middle East and the World" and the "Abraham Accords," and him and his family enriching themselves by selling worthless things and tokens to mindless adoring cult followers.

LOL, Not even a full day in office. Btw, he took more questions yesterday from reporters than Biden took in an entire year.

"Not even a full day in office."

And war in Ukraine is still raging and the excuses are already piling up.

Trump also said he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office " or even earlier.

"That is a war that's dying to be settled. I will get it settled before I even become president," Trump said at a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia in September.

King Dotard II is holding out tariffs for another bite at NAFTA, I mean the USMCA. This is the way he operates--screams about something, then quietly seeks something else, with the bargaining point being that which he screamed about. Unless our Mexican and Canadian trade partners think they can do better, they should call the King's bluff and tell him to 'take off, hoser'. The jig then being up, Trump will either have to take the very bad step of imposing tariffs on two of our biggest trade partners, or failing at everything.

This negotiation strategy is high risk for low gain. Trump has pulled it off successfully for a long time. C'mon, neighbors--make the king's head explode...

You MAGA maroons are responsible for everything that happens from here on out. Elect a clown, expect a circus.
