Russell Vought was confirmed as White House budget director Thursday in a party line 53-47 vote. "Confirming the most radical nominee, who has the most extreme agenda, to the most important agency in Washington," Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said on the Senate.
NEW: Democratic senators held the floor for nearly 30 hours to oppose the nomination of Russ Vought, a key architect of Project 2025 who is now Trump's pick to lead the Office of Management and Budget.
