Poilievre was guaranteed to win.

So the communist Trudeau froze parliament for two and a half months so he and the party could gin up another "emergency," which only the Liberals and their new chosen leader, Carney, who shares Trudeau and his team's agenda.

Still full throatedly supporting them Trumpy lies? Or are you using that magatonian fuzzy math? That's like trying to multiply using Roman numerals you know. Maybe try reading the article before you go all magaroonie on us.

FTA:
Carney won nearly 86% of the more than 151,000 votes cast. The next closest candidate received 11,144 votes.

With opposition parties eager to trigger an election, the situation is becoming increasingly urgent. Carney's government could be toppled by Parliament to call for a new national election, which can be called any time between the Parliament going back into session on March 24 and October 20, by which time a vote must be held.

Now go crawl back under your agitprop rock you hateful lying snake.

It's only democratic in the sense that the elites of a single party got to choose a new leader. That's the Soviet and Canadian systems in summary.

- the elites of a single party got to choose a new leader.

Whereas the elites of a single wealth class got buy a new leader here.

"the elites of a single party got to choose a new leader."

That was true for both candidates in 2024.

#8 True, Kamala and Joe were both selected by the elites of a single party.

Good to see Visitor is all for a Gov Contractor who got $40 billion of taxpayer money in contracts, loans, and tax breaks... and still gets $8 million a day... also being able to spend at least $300 million to elect a President.

As long as money is speech, as Republicans have made the laws, the moneyed interests will own the Government.

And rwingers will still be stupid enough to support that.

So Canada is an undemocratic dictatorship only when its leader is someone you don't like?

Because Canada has always been a parliamentary democracy. This has happened under conservative governments but I'm sure you've never had a problem with it then.

#11 Just stating the facts as written. You said 'dictatorship' I did not, and you said I didn't like the results, what about I wrote would give you that impression?

#12 | Posted by visitor_ at 2025-03-10 03:12 PM

#10 Corky, you created a narrative out of whole cloth and I can't wait to see how that turns out.

-wildboar

No, it's that its just undemocratic.

Similar to the way the elite Democrats flung Kamala Harris on Americans.

Quit trying to protect the bullshit elites do.

Nice whataboutism, deflection.

You missed the $2billion in home appliances with no receipts.

- you created a narrative out of whole cloth

I stated facts which you called a narrative because you can't refute said facts.

- undemocratic.

The preferred system of the Musk-Thiel Oligarchs whom you think of as Gods is the one they have in Singapore; a Corporate Autocracy where the Dear Leader is the Dir of the Board, chosen by the Board.

That's the term used by many here when elections don't go their way.
